gosh this chapter has been kicking my ass for almost a month bc it’s so huge (both narratively and literally) and i still have got to 1. write the final three ish scenes 2. reread, edit and spell check what comes before, and 3. read it in full and make sure it flows well and makes sense and generally isn’t garbage.

I’ve written 2.8k words for this chapter (that i’m guessing is going to be at least 5k, aka twice the usual chapter length for this fic) and. I just want it to be Written already. not a big fan of having to write it myself.
still, this is the last chapter of Part II and im actually really proud of myself: I went waaaay out of my comfort zone with part ii of this fic, because it’s 99% introspection and narration, and barely any dialogue, and I got some really good things out of it. can’t wait to be done though LMAO
omy google document is obsessed with always reloading in this one particular spot for some reason, which, ok. valid. except that spot is basically the most harrowing scene i’ve ever written in my life (and that’s saying a lot). so opening the document feels like a hate crime but it’s happened like 5 times already so i should by all means have gotten used to it or at least learnt to, i don’t know, not READ it every time. lol.
guys i’m editing the second chapter of part 2 and it’s... ginormous. a beast. it’s literally sitting at 8k words. maybe i should split it in half but i’m nothing if not chaotic and i think having one chapter be a mere thousand words and then unloading this monster onto you the next week is really funny. plus it might me my favorite chapter yet (parts of it at least) so i feel bad about sawing it in half
resisting the urge to post tonight instead of next week bc i’m supposed to use this time to write AHEAD and STUDY but it’s stronger than me ........... if literally one person was like “omg post!” underneath this id probably do it just saying .........

back from my trip (good) excited to write (good) but i have an insane amount of work to catch up to (bad), issues with executive dysfunction (bad) and an irrepressible urge to just scroll tiktok all day (even worse!)
really excited bc i already have the next 3 chapters of Grace + rough outline of what comes next planned out !! I’ll be posting Chapter V today, and hopefully i can finish Part One before november, when i’ll be taking a short break for exams ! anyways, here’s a sneak pic for the following weeks ;)
