#moon trooper

I said it in a previous post but: With Daichi staying with the LA branch as the Black Moon Trooper and Savisa taking up Ken's mantle as red, the Purple Moon Trooper spot is vacant and it's kinda obvious that Citlalli is gonna end up taking it as the "Sixth/Bonus Ranger" trope.

However, there's also the "Evil Ranger/Rider" trope that Sentai/Kamen Rider/Tokusatsu loves to do and with the plot twist at the end that the moon computer is actually behind the Mazoku attacks it makes perfect sense to have an inevitable, evil Moon Trooper and that concept is gonna be my starting point.

Daichi is the kid of the original red moon trooper and is the highest ranked trooper, five years in a row so I like the idea of an evil Moon Trooper being based on his abilities and fighting style, but with a personality that's chaotic, like a twisted version of Maise, as she's the Moon Trooper who seems to interact with Moonie on a personal level the most....Like Moonie literally took those two data points, mashed them together and got it deliberately wrong.

The Daichi styling can also work aesthetically as well, because the scarf he wears to distinguish him from the original LA branch members is an obvious nod to Kamen Rider and Kamen Rider Black had an evil rider by the name of Shadow Moon, whose design is pretty iconic:

And "Moon" is a running theme we can play with here..... Family Force V does lean into the "Tokyo is the center of the universe" trope and from what I remember reading as a kid (Correct me if I'm wrong) there was an ancient Japanese belief that "During an eclipse poison would rain from the sky and so everyone would cover up the wells to prevent it from corrupting the drinking water".

And well, poison raining from the sky is fitting, all things considered.
