I had a fun idea a while back to paint them with the palette of Spelunky's Neo-Babylon level, so that's likely how I would paint him.

September's monthly miniature is a Kharadron, specifically one of those new pirate ones. I think they're okay, even if I wish they were on something more substantial than one of those weird object-that-conspicuously-touches-the-ground kind of "flying" bases. Might pick up just to pick up.
I've warmed up on Kharadrons significantly since I first saw them. I think part of what put me off was just how much metallic was on most of the color schemes I saw of them, which is always something that puts me off in high enough doses, but I think they're decent (I quite like the Codesmith with all the books, and that new deep-sea-diver guy).
december's monthly miniature is a deathwatch marine. i think they're neat insofar as space marine monthly models go, though i'm more a fan of grey knights than deathwatch personally. i like the sensors and such on their backpack and their rabbit ears. is he a recon guy? maybe. i might pick him up, i think my girlfriend might think he's cool.
