Challenge 11: Mythological Madness

“Pele, Hawaiian Goddess of Volcanoes”

"Lapakū ka wahine a‘o Pele i Kahiki  ‘Oaka e ka lani noke nō ‘Eli‘eli kau mai ‘Oaka e ka lani noke nō ‘Eli‘eli kau mai ‘Uhī a ‘uhā mai ana ‘o Pele I ka lua a‘o Halema‘uma‘u"

Pele is the goddess of volcanoes and fire and the creator of the Hawaiian Islands. Otherwise known as Pelehonuamea, “She who shapes the sacred land,” this deity represents both destruction and creation. She is one of the most powerful and important deities in native Hawaiian mythology, with extensive stories surrounding her in the form of chants.

In folklore, Pele resides at the summit of Kīlauea, within Halema‘uma‘u Crater. She occasionally travels throughout the islands, appearing to mankind as a beautiful young woman, or as an old woman, often dressed in red. She tests an individual's character by asking for food or for a ride. Those who are greedy and unkind to her are punished by having their homes or crops destroyed in the next eruption. Residents of the islands show their respect to the deity by placing offerings like flowers, money, and food outside their homes in an attempt to appease her during an eruption.

Challenge 9: Worthy Warriors “Violet Grin, Leader of the Zapfists”

War has plagued the nation for nearly two centuries. The once pristine and glorious city of Inkopolis has been stripped of all its resources and steadily demolished by chaos. Amidst the fire, Violet Grin was born, and the back alleys of the city became her home. Fierce, crafty, and bloodthirsty, she never struggled to survive; she could bend anarchy to her will. 

Cephalopods of similar nature gravitated toward Violet Grin. She used these connections to devise her infamous clan of bandits: the Zapfists. They are the wealthiest in the entirety of the concrete jungle, having confiscated everything of value, and now roam the corridors hunting for sport. None enjoy the game more than Violet Grin. Residents, innocent and shady characters alike, all fear an encounter with the gang. The sight of their notorious satin jackets clears streets instantly, for none want to be the next target. It is said that Violet Grin will remove her facemask to feel closer to her victims as she glowers over them, poised for the kill. Those unfortunate enough to come face-to-face with the leader herself, in their final moments, understand why they call her Violet Grin.

Challenge 8: Reconciliatory Return - Celebrity Couple with Boblerette "Huge promises and romance! Dolphina and Stretch did what?"

Dolphina Nosey and Stretch Calamarino sure have been working on a lot of the same movies together, haven't they? Well, this intrepid reporter has definitive proof that the director known for his macabre and dark comedy movies and the actress that sports a majority of the leading roles in his movies are involved in an intimate romantic relationship! It's been reported that the two first started showing signs of dating when, after a long day of filming, Stretch picked up a nearby splattershot and started shooting Dolphina, who played along, resulting in a full turf war match being had by just the two of them! Although no concrete photographic proof exists of this encounter, it is very obvious that they are dating. One can see them spending almost all of their time together, even off set!
