Monthly items - Eldarya
I was thinking about something yesterday.
I will not talk about the monthly items and the consequences of their democratization for the market (a huge decrease of the prices).
I want to talk about the consequences for the website and its performance. Beemoov decided to stop the monthly items from 2020 because of many reasons, including the technical problems that the system involved. In these technical problems there are : speed reduction of the website, some monthly items doesn’t appar, ...
But, these technical problems appeared while the monthly items were owned by some players, not everyone, there was a limited number of each montly items. Now, every player can buy monthly items, it will increase their number. So it could bring to multiply the technical problems. Am I the only one who see the incoherence between what Beemoov said to us when it decided to stop the monthly items and what they decide to do right now with this special store ?
To my mind, I prefer to play on a good website with no technical problem (in theory good devs should do anything to insure to the players the site presents no problems which could disturb the playability). But with this store I just have the feeling Beemoov prefer to earn money (because some players could buy many monthly items and will not have enough maanas to play episode 30 or season 2, and they should go to the bank), that is understandable because it is a company. I just regret they want to earn money to the detriment of the technical stability of the website (from my experience, monthly items brought many crashes, many speed reduction ; and I don’t know if they could have an impact on the episodes, I hope it is not the case).
It would be a greater idea to have a store not with the monthly items and their technical problems, but a store with some event clothes (I think about the spring faerie for example). These clothes have no bugs (and they could not be found in the market).
So, the new Beemoov’s policy disturb me, money seems more important than the playability and the players ...
