Romeo x Jesse (39): "okay hear me out HEAR ME OUT. this ship is so overhated and for what. i love toxic yaoi. (or regular if girl jesse). maybe i'm just a sucker for hero x villain type dynamics but there's something to be said about how romeo is SOOO obsessed with jesse, and how, depending on your choices, jesse can empathize with him and even help him. i just find romeo a compelling character and i think jesse can be good for him 😌"
Monica x Dorian (43): "Misunderstanding to Friends to Lovers. He helps her understand that witches aren't what she was taught to believe, and when he is caught up in his magic she snaps him out of it.
They support each other through tough situations throughout the comic.
(Also it's canon)"

I know it probaly won't happen, but I would love to see the characters from Hooky interact with the characters from Marionetta. There are so many possibilities, but the ones I'd enjoy the most are:
Since Dani and Nico are spreading the word and building new bridges between people and witches, I'd love to see them interact with the members of the circus during this time in the story, but I'd especially like to see them interact with Sahed, Rainah and Julia.
I'd also be curious to see Dorian and Sahed interact, since, if I can recall correctly, Dorian had a lot of inner conflict about how he felt about non-magic users, and he had a lot of trouble making friends outside the people from home, which reminds me a little of Sahed in this way. Things weren't so black and white in regards to racial relations in Hooky, both did terrible things and sought revenge against the other, perpetuating a loop of voilence. I t's been a while since I read the series, but I'm making my way back through. Anyway, this is just all to say I remember it being really hard on Dorian to realize that yes, there are terrible non-magic users, but there are also terrible witches, and you really have to judge each person individually and not hold them accountable for the sins of others. You catch more flies with honey than with vinagar, so to say. Maybe knowing Dorian was coming from a somewhat similar place would help Sahed learn how to convince the other circus members to see the plight of his people.
I would love for Julia to get to talk to Monica and Will. I think there's a lot they could share with her that would help. Monica had prejudice against the witches initially, and she overcame it, even becoming a witch herself. Will grew up with suffocating expectations and sense of duty, both to his father and kingdom. They both know what expecting an arranged marriage is like. They know what it's like to fall in love with someone who would be very difficult to be with due to the social tensions and wars being fought between their races.
On a lighter topic, I think Monica would totally get into the shipping! I remember her trying to be her friends wing-woman, and her advice always seemed to fall flat, if not cause disaster (the love potion, telling Nico to button his shirt). She would definitely get into all kinds of romantic high jinks. Her and William's marriage situation also might give Julia a heart attack.
I'll bet Kamille would love to go adventuring with Mark and Aisha.
These are just my personal thoughts and opinions. These are just a few that have crossed my mind. There would be lighter interactions too, I think, but these are the ones that my brain has been latching onto. I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's if they felt like sharing!
If I need to mark this spoiler, let me know, I am new.

"You don't know!" Farrah pratically yelled as she eyed her contractor with disgust. Dorian inwardly groan, why did he have to ask who her help. "Of course I knew her birthday was coming -- I just didn't know it was today." He said in his same ole' majesty voice as if he was the king of the world -- that earned a punch to his shoulder by Farrah. "Didn't know what?" A certain brunette popped up, Dorian sighed knowing he was about to get into some deep shit. He covered Farrah's mouth before she could tell her best friend that -- he forgot Monroe's birthday. Farrah growled and stomped on his foot. "He forgot Roe's b-day." She said in a matter-o-fact tone. Jez grinned victoriously, and crossed her arms over her chest. "I knew he would. I hope she leaves you for being a self center bas--" She stopped once she saw the twins run up to their daddy dearest.
Normally Dorian would shut them both up with usually commentary but today -- they were right. And the one thing he hated most was to be wrong, he picked Katrina up and glared at the two girls. They looked at each other and shrugged. "Where's mommy?" He asked his beloved daughter. "Uncle Chance took her to see something -- he said it was mommy's special day and we should make her feel very special and loved since today is the day mommy lost her mommy." His young daughter said not knowing how much those words would affect the trio.
Dorian, Jez and Farrah learned somethings today -- one being that Chance was obviously her favorite and he needed an ass kicking but more importantly, not once have any of them been there for her. All the times she supported them, loved them, defended them -- she never asked for anything in return. And now they finally had a chance to do it. To show her how special she was to each of them, everyone took out their cellphone sending a text to Chance telling him to keep her busy until they told him other wise.
For the first time in history, a rebel, a human and a vampire were all going to work together -- as if everyone already knew the plan without speaking they quickly started moving. "Farrah you take the twins and clean them up, also clean up Roe's home." Dorian spoke first taking the leader position. Farrah nodded and took Kat out of his arms, Francis following behind her. Jez and Dorian had a staring contest until he cleared his throat. "What do you want to do?" He asked her, they were enemies before she came to the town -- if anyone would say that they would one day work together both would have laughed and brush insults at each other. But Monroe meant something to the both of them, in her own way she saved them both. "I'll decorate." Jez finally spoke. "Ask Farrah to help." Dorian added Jez nodded and walked off.
Dorian was now left on his own, guilt plaguing him for forgetting his beloved's birthday. It was such a human matter -- trivial and unimportant. But when he woke up and found himself alone in his bed, his heart almost broke. If it could break. Dorian figured he would make the cake. Since it was the only thing left to do, Farrah was gathering people and cleaning, Jez was decorarting and Chance keeping Monroe busy. He hurried home to get started of his master piece.
Meanwhile the two humane vampires sat on the sand by the pacific ocean, Monroe had ask Chance to come along with her to visit the beach. "Why this beach?" He asked her, curisous to why she picked on so far away from home. "When I was a young girl -- my mother always talked about the Pacific Ocean. She said it was the best part of the New Lands." She answered, her blue eyes matched the color of the tides. "You know today is my birthday." She said and smiled his direction, Chance nodded in response. " It's also the day my mother was killed." Her blue hues flickered with sorrow and pain. Chance gulped and moved closer to her so she could rest her head on his shoulder. "I never know weather I should be happy to be alive or -- sad because she isn't." Her eyes started to become unclear as tears streamed. "You should be happy, because she gave birth to you. Today is your day -- she would want you to spend it on you." He answered, in truth he didn't know what to say -- all he knew is that he didn't want to see her cry. He wondered why didn't she bring one of the girls or Dorian -- but his curiosity ended as she spoke again. "I'm too vampire to be human and too human to be a vampire so celebrating my birthday seemed wrong -- maybe because I didn't have family or someone to understand me. But thank you for always doing so." She smiled that Monroe's smile -- the one that makes you forget about all the world's troubles and relax into the peace that she was. "We should get back to your family -- the might kill me for being selfish and keeping you to myself." He joked, they laughed.
Dorian Calivar was not a baker. This was a fact, he could not bake to save his life -- now he wonder if it could save his relationship. The cake that he made wasn't perfect. Far from it. But he tried his best and it looked good -- good enough to eat. So as he carried it carefully to the house Monroe made he prayed nothing would happen to it.
Farrah realized that she somewhat hated being a big sister -- don't get her wrong. She loved the twins, but she didn't have the authority in her voice like Jez did to get them to listen to her. So she had two five year old running around in their Sunday's best. She texted Jez and told her to come help her. "Dorian told me to ask you for help not the other way around." Jez teased as she walked into the chaos that was their home. Farrah glared as she finally got Katrina sit down and do her hair. "I'm an artist -- I make messes .. I don't clean them." She retorted, Jez rolled her eyes. "Switch?" She offered, Farrah nodded. She let Kat run to Jez to get ready while she started decorating the house. Soon after Dorian arrived with a pastel pink cake and red roses on them, the girls stared at him in disbelief. He simply smirked at them as if it was nothing.
What the girls didn't know was that Dorian asked for help from Eloise and Tibbles. But that would be a secret he would take to his death bed and seeing that he was immortal -- it was unlikely that anyone would ever know the truth. Hours past and the house looked beautiful -- everyone gathered to come celebrate her birthday. All of them waited for her.
Monroe Fitz wasn't one for parties or celebrating her own day, the guilt of losing her mother just felt wrong to celebrate anything else. But speaking to Chance always brought peace to her mind. Chance had told her he had to go get something for Jez and to come by the house when she was ready. Leaving her on the beach alone -- the ocean was beautiful and calm. She loved it when he peace was disturbed by her phone going off. "Hello? --'
"Mommy come home."
"You okay sweetie?'
"Daddy won't let me eat cake until you get home."
"Cake?"
"Yes it says your name mommy and it says h-a-p-p-y b-i-r-t-h-d-a-y."
"Oh my... Mommy will be right there." She hung up before her son could reply.
"Did you tell her?" Kat asked her big brother, Francis shook his head vigorously proud that he knew his mother's number by heart. "Mommy said she will be here soon." He told his sister, the two Calivar twins grinned as their little eyes looked at the beautiful birthday cake their father scolded them for trying to taste. "She's coming." They heard their big sister Farrah giggle. The twins ducked under their father's legs, throwing the man unbalanced for a second. "Children, get up." He ordered shaking his head at their weird behavior -- "You guys aren't allowed to hang out with Jez -- she's turning you into wild things." He joked. "I heard that." Jez shouts from somewhere in the room causing everyone to laugh.
Monroe walked on the steps of her home, five hundred and one years it took her -- but she finally had one. A place to call home, a family that adored her and a man that loves her. "Merci Mami." She whipsered as she opened the door. "Happy birthday." Everyone yelled popping up from everywhere. Monroe couldn't hide the tears from her face, when two little demons ran to her. "Mommy mommy! let's eat the cake." They sang in unison. She picked her son up - he reached her first- while Dorian scooped Kat into his arms as she ran to her mother. "Happy birthday love." He said before they kissed. Love had been her nickname since they first met, a foreshadowing to what they would become some might say. "What took you so long?" He asked eyeing his beloved. She smiled. "I had to get ready." She teased, doing a little spin in her new sundress. "You knew?" He raised an eyebrow at her. "Not until he called." She replied kissing her son's cheek. Dorian narrowed his eyes at his son, he couldn't believe he forgot to tell them it was a secret. "What! You said no cake until mommy got here. She's here -- so cake." He demanded, not fearing his father at all. Dorian shook his head and took Monroe's freehand with his. "Hey Roe." Jez, Farrah and Chance said at once when the vampire couple got to the kitchen. "Chance told us what happen at the beach and about your mother." Jez was the first to speak. "We just wanted to say, we're your family now. We love you." Farrah was the one to speak these sweet words to her. Roe gave Francis to his father as she went to go hug her children. "I love you all too. Dearly." She said as tears fell. "Now CAKE!." Francis said ruining the perfect heart felt moment, Kat chimed in with her big brother. Everyone laughed.
"Roe you get to cut the cake." Jez said handing her the knife. She cut the first piece and took a bit to feed Francis. He ate it happily but soon the happy smile was replaced with a frown. "What's wrong kiddo?" Monroe asked. "Daddy's cake sucks." He said using his little hands to wipe his tongue. "Just like Dorian -- pretty to look at but nasty in the inside." Jez retorted and earned a glare from Dorian. Monroe kissed his cheek. "I love you." And just like that the rebel's girl comment was out of his mind, he place his son down so he could wrap his arms around his love. "Happy Birthday Love." He whispered in her ear as they watch the kids throw pieces of the nasty cake at each other trying to get each other to taste it.

Giggles echoed in the sheets, Roe kept bring her finger to her lips in a 'shh' form to her beloved who can't seem to keep his hands off her. "The kids are going to wake up soon." His deep smoothing voice spoke, she smiled at him got up slowly. She ran her hands through her blonde bed hair. "Then get up Daddy Dory." She teased earning a groan from him. "No matter who says that it still annoys me." He said in his husky sleeping voice. Monroe got up slowly with a light laughed as she made her way off the bed. " The pinic is today -- I'll go get Kat and Francis ready." She said.
Dorian decided to stay in bed a bit longer while Monroe went to go take care of their kids. Of course being vampires meant that they could never have their own. But when Monroe found the twins after the last war in a house she fell in love with them, and no matter how much Dorian wanted to deny the children a home at first. Monroe would have none of it, she placed the little girl in his arms and something in him gave it up -- over the months he spent with the children and Monroe, he tried bettering himself. Of course he could not wipe the sins he had done in the past, but Monroe had shown him that even though he has a dark past it didn't have to effect his present or future.
Silence was peaceful in the room when suddenly a torrantor of sounds stormed in. "Roe! Daddy Dory! Mini Me! Dimi!." A thorn in his thumb for as long as he could remember. He groaned finally getting out of bed, he threw on some clothes walking out of the master room to see his daughter Katrina running to Eloise. He was shocked when Monroe named her after his beloved first love, most women didn't want to know about exs but Monroe seemed to understand how much she had meant to him. Monroe had that way about her, she was this light forever touched by darkness yet still shined bright.
"Do not call my daughter your mini me El." He said earning a cheek smile from Eloise. "She's going to be just like me. Watch Dory she loves her big sister." She said picking up the toddler in her arms. Monroe appeared with Francis in her arms. The two toddles looked very much alike -- beautiful. Blue eyes with soft sandy blonde hair you would never know that they weren't biological Monroe's they in every sense were just like her.
"Sorry Red but Kat is probably more like Jez and Farrah then anything." Roe teased. "Great a future pain in my ass." Dorian groaned but he couldn't help but smile when his baby girl looked his way pulling away from Eloise moving to him. "Daddy." She whined demanded he picked her up, he did. He was a sucker for her even if he tried to denied it. "How come you smile when she says it?" Eloise teased walking over to the Calivar family. Dorian didn't reply, just gave Eloise the signature look.
"Well me and the twins will be right back. I promise we would visit Farr and Jez today. Jez promised Francis that she and Chance would show him how to climb trees.' She said placing her son down and pecking El's cheek. "Blondie when you get sick of mister glares over there, you can always come cry on my shoulders again." She grinned, Dorian rolled his eyes.
Moments after Monrian left Eloise and Dorian to their business, protecting or talking about territories and such never was her concern. The twins walked happily beside her when suddenly they ran off. "Big sisstaassss.' They yelled in unison as their blue irises made eye contract with the troublesome duo. Farrah and Jez open their arms to embrace the kids. Monroe talked Dorian to letting Farrah gave her freedom after her 18th birthday, of course her father was still signed to him but Farrah for the most part had some kind of freedom. And was a willing baby sitter most nights. "Hey Roe." Chance said besides her. "You're getting better at the whole sneaking up on me. Aren't you?" she smiled at her beloved brother. "The kids are so happy to seem them which scares me." She joked. "Because you know they are going to grow up to be just as crazy as those two.." He replied, Monroe nodded her head. "The two of laughed together walking up to the kids. "How can they be this cute? Like look at him Chance. He has the chubbest cheeks." Jez said pinching Francis cheek. "Ouchie." He whined. Farrah held Kat in her arms, they smiled and took photos together. "So you guys are coming to their party tonight right?" Everyone looked at Roe as if she said the worst thing in the world, the war wasn't as bad as it used to be. But none of them stepped to vampire side unless they had to. The house Chance and she built was neutral land and became the new secret house for rebels.
"Pleeasse." The twins said together with their big blue puppy eyes.
