"Congratulations, dovelies! You caught the right culprit. It was our resident Teddi-bear after all! Clutch a shame, really, I was so looking forward to you all clucking it up and picking the wrong person again!"

She laughed, honking away at her own joke, before finally calming down enough to finish her speech.

"Investigation time is over, dovelies! It’s time for all of you to fly down to the trial room. Ah, but I believe I should eggsplain a new little extra rule…"

"As you are aware, one among you is pulling the strings for this game of ours! If you are able to figure out who it is, then the mutual killing game will end. If you want to give it a try, you must simply call for a mastermind vote during a trial, and all current votes will be disregarded! If three of you dovelies agree to call for a mastermind trial, you'll have your chance to peck out your suspect! However, be warned— feather you're right or wrong, whoever you vote for will be eggsecuted! Oh, and you’ve only got three chances to find the mastermind! If you use up all three, then I'm afraid they'll win- and all of you will face the consequences! Have fun~!"

After all that had happened, things are rather calm throughout the castle. That is, until Monogoose shows up in the great hall at breakfast time again. However, there's no breakfast waiting for the students at the table. She waits for them all to file in before speaking.

"Are you dovelies hungry~? Well, I'm afraid you won't be getting breakfast today."

She laughs, that evil laugh that you all knew by now brought bad news with it.

"You dovelies can vote for any of your nestmates, even the ones who’ve flown on!"

Following the events of the deaths of your fellow classmates and the appearance of Nasha the days that follow after are quite calm. No voices whispering in your ears, no incentive to kill each other… nothing. For a moment you feel as if you’ve grown accustomed to living in the castle and that maybe life wasn’t so bad after all. There’s food to eat, a bed to sleep on, things to keep you entertained, and places to explore if you grow tired of the same routine.

Maybe… it wouldn’t be so bad to call this place your home…

Then one morning a familiar face greets you in the Great Hall for breakfast. Sitting at the head of the table is Monogoose, still in her human form. She sits quietly, eyes closed, as if waiting for something. It’s not until everyone appears in the Great Hall that she opens her eyes and finally speaks.

“Some of you may have heard little Monoduck and I talking the other day.That’s right-- one of you is working to make all of you kill each other~!  Wauna know who? Aren’t you curious which hatchling betrayed their flock? Well, if you kill another classmate, you can get a clue~!”

Her grin widens further, and she lets out a shrill series of diabolical giggles.

A loud creak fills the air of the Library. Soon after gentle footsteps tapped against the floor, stirring a certain fluffy duck out of his slumber. Despite his best efforts to sink deeper within the shadows of the chair above him nothing could save Monoduck from this fateful encounter.

Monogoose bent down to look under the chair, a grin on her face.

“Well, hello there, dovely~! Are you enjoying your current form?”

“O-Of course not! Never have I been so humiliated in my life! And for what? Why are you doing all of this? This can’t be something you came up with yourself! Are you conspiring with one of the members of the castle? The Doctor? Nasha?-”

“Hmm, well, it’s not a nester of Marchen, per say... but one of the cute little chickadees running around under our wings.”

“One of… the cygnets? You can’t be serious! There’s no way… why… would one of them…?”

"Well, looks like you chickadees managed to hatch a correct verdict~! Wasn't that eggsecution simply breathtaking? Why, it feels like my heart stopped just watching it!"

"Once you leave the courtroom, you'll find there's some new areas for you to squawk around in. Consider it a reward~"
