Mologa was a beautiful Russian town of 130,000 people until the 1940's when Stalin ordered the construction of a hydroelectric dam which flooded the entire town and it's historic buildings.
The town now lies under the Rybisnk Reservoir and small parts of it can occasionally be seen when droughts cause the water levels in the reservoir to fall.
