First Chickenhut cast came out great! I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m extremely nearsighted, which is normally kind of a drag, but sometimes, especially when I’m detailing a piece, having the ability to look closely at something tiny can come in handy. Hey, my lovelies! Unfortunately I’ve been sick with a killer migraine on and off for about two weeks (I get them about once a month, but never like this), and on Thursday, it came back and the aura started with transient dysphasia (inability to speak properly) which was pretty terrifying, since I have only ever experienced visual field issues in my migraine auras. Because I was worried it might be something other than a migraine, so hubs and I went to the ER, and I got a MRI to rule out neurological things, and then they treated my migraine and let me go home after midnight on Friday morning. I’m still not 100% better but nothing like I was. Anyway, here’s a little early peek of the plaque for the wrinkle-drake; when I’m done it will have filigree on it. Wrinkledrake update! I’m done with cleanup and detail work on the wax master; almost done socketing the horns and spines. Next step is to build a mold box for a simple 2 part mold of the bust.
