like this one time at the deli, I needed a power strip, so I hunted through all the storage rooms and in every corner. no crate or weird-looking bowl left unturned.

and in one room, behind a bunch of collapsed and not-collapsed-but-mostly-empty boxes, there stood an old fridge.

and I thought, "hey, it's basically a shelf. maybe there's a power strip in there." so I opened the fridge.

and immediately closed the fridge.

there was no power strip in the fridge. but there was bread, or mounds of blue and other colors where there used to be bread. I don't even think the thing was plugged in.

I kind of. avoided that room from then on.
