When Junior first laid eyes upon the Huntress that came to save Moga Village from the Lagiacrus, his first thoughts were not those of what any other man in the village might have. He didnโt swoon over her beauty, though the brunette with sapphire blue eyes certainly is just that. He didnโt try to garner her affections by stating he would protect her like one of the fishermen had offered, to which the Huntress merely shook her head and rolled her sapphire eyes at him before she rejected the proposition outright.
โSeriously? The Huntress could protect you far better than you could protect yourself, you oaf,โย Junior thought at that time as an amused smile played on his lips.
ย ย ย ย ย While the village chiefโs son continued to watch the Huntress from a distance during her early days in Moga, he noticed the deep, faded slashes above her right eye. Eโlara mentioned to the Chief and Junior on their first meeting that she has been in many fierce battles, but the younger of the two men couldnโt help wondering what beast had managed to catch Eโlara unaware enough to claw her that harshly. Whatever the monster was carried out an attack that had succeeded in scarring the Huntressโ porcelain skin, forever serving as a reminder of her strength and tenacity. However, the paleness of her skin was certainly an unexplainable enigma given how much time she spends out in the sun hunting monsters. Had it been a Rathalos? The King of the Skies is known for being both merciless and crafty, after all. Junior could imagine the scene vividly in front of his eyes.

Coming to the slow realization that Dragonโs Dogma is my personal equivalent to Monster Hunter fandom i.e. A Capcom-developed Japanese-helmed fantasy action game franchise in the vague zone between niche cult darling & perpetual mainstream underdog that Iโm in-depthly obsessed with.
Iโve actually tried & bounced off of MoHun several times but have bought & played DD1 on 3 different platforms. Iโve got several Dark Arisen FAQs downloaded as PDFs & multiple DD Wikis bookmarked, obsessing over character & pawn builds & designs. Now Iโm itching to play Dragonโs Dogma 2 & hopefully on a Steam Deck if possible & thanking god that the series didnโt fade into obscurity after Dragonโs Dogma Online.
