Mimouna is a holiday celebrated by Moroccan and Algerian Jewish people which falls right after Passover and celebrates the return of leavened products. It is celebrated by eating baked goods and sweets. The preparations for Mimouna typically begin during Passover and popular Mimouna sweets include dates stuffed with marzipan, ma’amul, and mufletot.
