you meet when he’s still working at the barbeque restaurant

he’s been feeling really down because he’s working such long shifts just to make ends meet and feels like he’s not making any progress towards his goals

he’s having a particularly rough day, with customers being rude and orders flying in

when you come in with some friends to have some lunch

and when his eyes fall on you, it’s like everything goes quiet

all of his worries about debuting still for a moment

you notice him staring at you and you smile bc obviously he’s cute, so he says hello awkwardly and introduces himself 

you chat for a bit and he asks for your number

he feels light on his feet the rest of the day, and texts you that night

the rest is history

he’s taking a walk down the street on his day off and notices a stray cat

he’s obviously about to walk up to it to pet it

but you beat him to it

you come out of nowhere and bend down to pet this cat, and it comes right to you

the cat is all over you, rubbing itself on you and purring

and suddenly he’s forgotten about the cat

he slowly walks up to you and pretends he’s only interested in the kitten

but the cat won’t leave you and he acts all offended, playing it off like a joke and making you laugh

he tells you about his 9 cats and you’re like… i want to meet them

and he’s like ok

he decides to go to the cinema by himself on his day off

the theater isn’t very busy since it’s the middle of the day on a weekday

so there’s only a few other people sitting near the front and him

and you, sitting in the back

in his favorite seat

and at first he’s pissed bc he’s like you had the whole theater and you chose my seat???

but then he starts walking up the stairs closer to you and realizes how excited you seem for the movie

you’re just sitting there, eating your popcorn, not on your phone or anything, just looking at the screen and waiting for the film to start

and you look so cute that he can’t be mad at you

you notice him looking at you and you give him a small smile

he gets shy and looks away, choosing a random seat

you get up from your seat and come up to sit right behind him

and he’s like wtf

and you say, “you can have that seat if you want it”

he’s wondering how you knew he wanted the seat

but suddenly he doesn’t care anymore

so he turns around and says, “no, it’s all yours”

but you shake your head. “i like this one better.”

he can’t focus on the movie the whole time

he can only focus on how close you are, close enough that he can smell your perfume

when the movie ends, you just walk out and he’s disappointed

but then he notices something left on the seat next to him

a napkin with your phone number written on it

you’re a street dancer that participates in local competitions

you’re having a competition in a random abandoned alley one night and lynnlynn just so happens to be walking by

of course the music and the dancing catch his attention

so he stops and watches for a while

when you start dancing, he’s like :o 

instantly in love

he joins the crowd and slowly integrates himself into the scene just to get close to you

you inevitably end up meeting and he compliments your dancing

you see him dance and you’re like… okay you’re pretty good too

you guys become a team and beat literally anyone that tries to take you on

eventually he does confess and of course you feel the same–the chemistry is insane

and you live happily ever after, absolutely crushing the competition

he decided to spend an evening at a local pc cafe to game a little bit, taking his mind off of all the stress of being an idol

none of the other members wanted to tag along with him so he was a little pouty

he always feels a little awkward in public alone

but he decides to go anyways

he walks in, and there are only a few people scattered here and there

he takes a seat near the corner and begins to play his game

then he hears the front door jingle, and he automatically looks up at the sound

he half-expects to see one of his members coming to join him, but he sees you

dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants with your hair down, not trying to impress anybody

but he’s immediately impressed by you

he thinks you’re naturally stunning (bc you are)

and it takes everything in him not to jump up and ask you to sit by him like a kid in preschool

you end up sitting in front of him and joining the same game as him 

(although he’s not looking at your screen, why would you think that?)

he sends little flirty messages to you but doesn’t reveal his identity

you slowly start to flirt back, although you’re a bit standoffish at first

he gets your attention though, and asks if you’ll be back to this cafe soon

and you’re like wait who are you and why do you know where i am

he reassures you that he’s not a creep, that he just thinks you’re cute and fun

so you’re like okay… yeah i’ll be here again soon

so he’s like great, it’s a date <3

you guys start gaming every week, you not knowing his identity, falling in love through the screen while he falls in love looking at you

you met when suren was a choreographer

he worked at a dance studio for a while, and you were a new choreographer

he was a little skeptical at first because he’d never heard of you

but then you walked in

and then he took one of your classes

and saw you dance

and he was immediately mesmerized

your style was so unique and the way you moved was just so captivating

he came up to you after the class and introduced himself

he offered to show you the ropes around the studio, and since you had just moved here, to show you around town

you became fast friends because he’s so charming

and eventually you were spending every day together

he tried to keep it professional because you were coworkers, but it became harder and harder every day

eventually, he confessed to you and offered to quit his job just to be with you

you were like :o hold up

let’s go on a date first and then we’ll see

and he was like yeah maybe that would be smart lol

“Suren!” You yelled, half-joking at your boyfriend as he splashed water in your face. “The water’s freezing!” Suren had already emerged himself underwater in the lake and was swimming around, while you had only made it up to your knees.

“No, it’s not, baby. It feels great! Come on in!” Suren smiled at you and began to swim towards you, causing you to walk back towards the shore in fear of what he might do.

“No, wait! Please?” He stopped and pouted, his boba eyes shining in the pink light as the sun began to go down.

You could never resist those eyes. You sighed and walked closer to him, getting all the way up to your waist in the water. He came up to you and grabbed your hips, pulling at you slightly.

“No, Su, hold on a minute!” You whined.

“C’mon,” he tugged at you. “I wanna swim for a bit and we still have to go jetskiing!”

You tried to persist, but his hands on you always made you tingly–especially when he had his hair slicked back from the water, and he was only dressed in his swimming trunks. It drove you crazy whenever he took his shirt off, if only for a moment. He wasn’t usually able to show his tattoos in public because of his idol image, so they felt like a special shared secret between you. You ran your hands over the words on his right arm–Take everything easy. It described him so well–how he was so light-hearted and full of joy, how he could see the beauty in everything. You loved this part of him–not just the tattoo–and he knew that.

You brought yourself out of your thoughts and shook your head at him. “Why did we wait so late to come out? Oh, right, because we had to play mini golf until you beat me,” you teased.

Suren pouted again at you. “Alright, that’s it.” He grabbed your thighs and pulled you towards him, your legs and arms wrapping around him.

“No! Su, what are you doing?” You yelled, although giggles overcame your body.

“You messed with me all day, so now you gotta deal with the consequences,” he said as he walked your bodies deeper into the water. You were up to your upper back now, and you shrieked at the cold.

“Su, you’re the worst!” You shouted, gripping at him tighter. You were glad the lake had mostly cleared out from the day’s activities, or else you would have been embarrassed at how you were acting.

“Nah, you love me,” he mocked as he planted a kiss on your cheek, his wet hair tickling your face.

As your body acclimated to the cold, you began to calm down, and you sighed. “I suppose I do,” you said, leaning back a bit to look at him better.

He didn’t have a retort this time–he just smiled softly as he looked into your eyes, thankful that you were his, and that he was finally able to spend this much-needed time with you. With the way the sunlight cast a beautiful, warm glow across your features, and the way the reflections of the water lit up your eyes, he could’ve sworn that you were an angel and he had made it into heaven.

“What?” You asked him, lightly giggling. “Why are you staring at me?”

Suren paused for a moment. “I just love you too, Y/N. A lot.”

You were taken aback at his random sentiment for a moment, before you finally accepted it and became utterly appreciative. You leaned in towards him and placed a kiss on his lips, the taste of the water droplets on him seeping into your mouth. You allowed yourself to feel complete gratitude for this moment, thankful that you were able to be in such a beautiful place with the one you loved, and that he loved you just as much, if not more.

You pulled back from him and looked in his eyes, unable to hold back your grin. Suren smiled at you before twirling your bodies in a circle, earning a small scream, then laughter from you, as you hugged him closer to your body.

“Here, let me help you tighten it, okay?” Suren said as you fiddled with the straps of your life jacket. You nodded and allowed him to secure you in, making sure you were safe before you embarked on your adventure.

“You sure you know how to drive one of these things?” You asked tentatively.

“Yeah, totally. I used to do it all the time at my friend’s place.” Suren noticed your lack of enthusiasm before gently grabbing your hands. “Baby, you have nothing to worry about, okay? I know what I’m doing. But if you’d rather not go, that’s totally fine.” He looked in your eyes for some semblance of how you were feeling.

“No, I’m okay, I want to do it. I trust you.” You smiled at him, truly meaning your words.

Suren grinned. “Okay, ready then?” You nodded at him. “Alright, let’s go!” He ushered you towards the edge of the dock towards the jetski and grabbed your hands, slowly helping you sit comfortably before he took his seat ahead of you. 

“Are you ready, baby?” He looked at you over his shoulder with a toothy smile and you nodded at him, your fears cast to the wind when you saw his confidence. He undid the knot of the rope tied around the dock and started up the engine. You wrapped your arms around him and locked your hands, knowing that the ride would be fast. “Okay, hold on tight, baby! Let me know if I should stop!” Suren shouted over the roar of the engine. 

You yelled, “Okay!” and smiled back at him as he steadily began to drive the jetski across the ripples of the water. Slowly, joy began to soar through you as the jetski began to pick up speed. You felt the wind surge through your hair and tickle your skin as you laughed, not knowing that you could ever feel this sort of freedom. You looked out over the sunset casting its reflection on the water as you held on tight to your lover, and you realized that this is what life is about–enjoying the small moments and appreciating all that you’ve been given. 

You shoved your head into Suren’s neck and kissed his shoulder, overcome with bliss.

“Okay?” He shouted to you.

“More than okay!” You yelled back, squeezing his waist tighter.

Suren continued over the dark water into the middle of the lake, where land could barely be seen from any direction, then slowly brought the jetski to a stop, turning off the engine.

“Ah, I just want to take a moment to enjoy this,” he said, bringing a leg over to sit on the seat like a bench before helping you to do the same.

“I was hoping you would do that,” you said, looking at him with nothing but love in your eyes. This is why you worked so well together–you both appreciated the same things, the small things, and liked to live life slowly.

Suren looked back at you and dimples formed on his cheeks as he tried to hold back a cheeky grin, but failed. “It might be because I’m just really happy–because of being here, seeing the sunset, getting to be on the lake, being with you, whatever–but goddam, I just love you so much, baby.”

You beamed back at him, and even though the sun had momentarily captured his attention, he could swear that nothing was more mesmerizing than your happiness in that moment.

“Just trust me!” you badgered Yichen, covering his eyes as you led him towards the dance studio that you reserved for a few hours.

“”I’m trying, but–” Yichen stumbled over the pavement.

“Oops. How about if you just close your eyes and I lead you in?” You laughed.

“Okay, but how much further? I really don’t like this.” You took Yichen’s hand and told him to step up onto the sidewalk before leading him to the door.

“We’re about to go in. You can open your eyes in just a couple seconds,” you said, excited as you led him towards one of the private studios. “Okay… open!” You said as you turned the lights on, revealing a room filled with metal poles attached to the ceiling and floor, the walls covered in mirrors. A desk with a speaker sat in one corner of the room, and you slipped off your street shoes before walking towards it.

“Y/N… what is this?” Your boyfriend asked tentatively.

“What do you think it is, Chen? It’s a pole dancing studio!” You replied, hooking up your phone to the speaker.

“I see that,” he said sarcastically. “I mean, why are we here?”

“Well, you know how I’ve been going to those ‘pottery’ classes for a while now?”

“Yeah…” Yichen replied, still staring at you with incredulity.

“Well, I’ve actually been going to pole dancing classes!” You said excitedly.

“Oh, cool… so you’re going to teach me how to pole dance?” he asked, a nervous smile on his face.

“What? No,” you said, furrowing your brow. “I’m gonna show you what I’ve been learning!”

“Oh,” he nodded. “Awesome, that’s way more fun.”

“Although, now that you mention it, I kinda like that idea…” you said, raising a finger to your chin.

“No!” Yichen raised his hands in defense. “I mean, this is cool and all, but I’d much rather watch you do it.”

You laughed. “I was kidding, Chen.” Yichen looked slightly relieved. “Anyways, go sit down! I’m almost ready.” You ushered at him to sit along the edge of the room as you jogged to the lightswitches to turn on the special LED lights to a sensual red color.

Your music began to flow from the speakers as you reached the pole at the front and center of the room, right in front of where Yichen sat. You took a deep breath before you began the routine you had been practicing for the past few weeks. The rhythm coursed through your veins and sparked energy in your muscles, grace rippling through your body as you spun around the pole. You allowed yourself to get lost in the music, closing your eyes, and even forgot you had an audience for a moment, feeling powerful and beautiful as your body became one with your tool. You didn’t see it, but Yichen sat with his eyes glued to you, entranced by your elegance. His mouth hung open as if he were a child in a candy shop, looking at the best selection of chocolates he’d ever seen.

As the song came to an end, you hit your finishing pose, your thighs holding your body up on the pole as you bent backwards, facing Yichen. You opened your eyes when you realized you were done with the routine and saw your boyfriend gazing at you, astonished, and upside-down. You grabbed onto the pole before the hoard of laughter erupting from your throat caused you to fall. You pulled yourself up and stood to face him, doing a little bow.

“Well, did you like it?” You asked him, already knowing the obvious answer.

“I… well, yeah, I liked it,” he said softly. You giggled at him again.

“Okay, either you really liked it or you didn’t like it at all because I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this quiet.”

Yichen stood up and walked over to you, grabbing your hand. “No, I really liked it. Trust me. I just don’t know what to say. You looked so… sexy.”

You felt your face flush as you looked down at the ground. “Okay, that’s a bit closer to what I was looking for.”

“Ravishing. Graceful. Strong. Stunning.” Yichen shook his head. “I’m telling you, I can’t think of the right words. Y/N, that was amazing.”

If the room wasn’t bathed in a red glow, you would be embarrassed by how much you were blushing. “Okay, okay, I believe you,” you grinned. “You can stop now.”

“Beautiful. Lovely. Flawle–”

“Okay!” You cut your boyfriend off. “That’s all I wanted to show you. I’m leaving now!” And with that, you turned and ran out the door, still barefoot.

“Y/N! What about your shoes and your phone?” Yichen called after you.
