Modular Cold Room or Prefab Cold Storage? Know the Difference

Many cold room quotations use the words “modular” and “prefabricated” as if they mean the same thing.

They are related, but they are not always the same.

A prefabricated cold storage system means the panels or components are manufactured before they arrive at the site. A modular cold room is usually prefabricated, but it is assembled from repeatable panel sections that may be easier to dismantle, modify, or relocate if the system is designed for that purpose.
