3December Day 5 - Modular Building
I never really made much of anything that requires modular parts, so I wanted to experiment with that today. Each part isn’t much more than a glorified cube, but they can be mixed and matched to create a wide variety of buildings.
Time: About 2.5 hours
This is whats been keeping me from doing draws the past few months! Including you do voodoo ofc! Me and another artist on the course (Sean) have spent over 100 hours the past few weeks really polishing our Art assignment! Out task was to design and model a shop for diagon alley! Here are the results from start to finish! <3 I did the exterior and he did the interior, it was very much a combined effort!! We also added spellbooks from other artists on our course as an easter egg :3c Download and walk through it here!! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BwNvkRy0r3_HalBsQlR0aVlXRVk
Weekly Journal 4
Little late weekly Journal 4...:(
This is my 4 modular kits for the assignment. (Interstitial, Wall, Doorwall, Floor) For these pieces, I put mostly wood textures with mossy texture and vertex painting. Mossy texture and vertex painting have a different roughness. I had a struggle in the beginning since I didn't know how to make it interesting and give variety, and I decided to put fences that cover the wall, fabric, and ropes. Overall, I feel satisfied with my pieces and I am excited to do next prop projects for the Voodoo Hut.
