Wheels are @slowlysmodels OEM chev The next half of the rebuild is a short cab dually. *SUPER Cool Painting Tip For Your Junker Builds!* This entire explanation is Incredibly Interesting & Cool - I PROMISE🏎 Firstly you only want to use Flat colors & here Tom is using Flat Red, Yellow &a Medium Brown (as seen in Pictures in this post) & mixing them together until He gets a somewhat Rusty Color. Then Tom used the same brush to dip it into water to allow the Brush to become quite wet but not soaked, then He mixes the 3 Colors again with the Same Brush, but now it has water which makes the Paint diluted & this is good. Tom then takes the Brush which is now Saturated with the 3 Mixed Colors & the small amount of water & then Lightly dabbed the Brush to the Base of the Antenna where it meets the Fender as well as the Taillights & because of the addition of the water to the Paints & on the Brush, the Diluted Miked Rust Color drips down the fender starting at the spot that the Brush was Pressed Down Lightly/Dabbed releasing the Viscous Mixed Rust Colored Paint from the brush, thus creating that very cool Look of, Dripped Down Rust. This is completely ACCURATE & Realistic in These 1940 Ford Cars because the Areas where the Connections of Chrome/Metal met the Metal of the Body is where the most amount of Rust would show. This is because the Connections weren't very well sealed which allowed for Oxygen to aerate in those spots &then with the addition of Rain, you then had Oxidation which was now the perfect recipe for Rust to accumulate. That is why you see rust in a streak-top to bottom givin it a Dripped look. Im sure u can remember seeing this Dripped rust look on a Car this age. We are going to post a Picture of a Real Car that was in a Junker state & had most of the chrome removed revealing all the holes where Connections were made, & showing in multiple spots this Exact Look of Rust in a streak looking like it had dripped down from the spot the Rust had started!!! VERY COOL, RIGHT!? I love the science & natural events that all had to occur in order for this cool aged Rust line to appear in these Cars in real life! #modelcar #CarModel #modelcarbuilder #modelcarculture #scaleauto (at Nassau County, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-6A7k2hFbF/?igshid=1c859hbw4vcrx
