Dsquared2 Fashion Week Fall 2015
Chain-plates and channels all set up to receive the lower shrouds - Vanguard 1787. To my American friends: Happy 4th of July!
How do you deal with the female midlander "princess run" on Aeryn? And the fact that the Warrior of Light runs in such a sheltered noble lady/damsel in distress kind of way?
People are frankly weird about the Midlander woman run. Her arms are lifted and swinging as her legs move. It suits the slenderness of the model. Mostly though I just don't give a damn.
I've been playing my main characters for over a decade at this point, I stopped noticing the basics long ago in favor of what's happening in the instance around me that I gotta respond to.
But like. Are you asking male Miqo'te players how they "deal with" the awkwardly clenched fingers and backward slouch of their characters? Or the myriad other oddities every single racial model has in either idle stance or movement? How a lot of emotes, motions, and gear seem made with (male Midlander) Hyur models in mind first and how they'll respond on the other races and genders is not always thought through?
Or is it just the idea a Warrior of Light can't be what is deemed "girly" solely by how her in game model runs? Seriously. "Damsel in distress"? "sheltered noble lady"? I've long felt this sorta thing to be edging on the same assumptive ground as the people who made fun of Blood Elf male models in WoW for being "feminine" and all the "jokes" that came out of that cuz of how devs rig game models so they look and act different from other game models.
If you don't like how Middie girls run? Mod it, play something else, and/or get over it. Thems the options.

Hey there,
I had a few questions that I thought perhaps you could answer? Though I'm not sure how to start.
I'm looking to getting into making VR models, thanks to some inspirations I've seen floating around. One of them being the model for Solar. I was wondering if you made him or if he was a commission? It's particularly his hand movements and his rays that have my interest.
I wanted to send a private message but Tumblr said no.
Heyooo-
Clarifying again, I did not make the model itself. I was only commissioned to make the design for his model, and someone else was commissioned for the model.
