send an ask on anon (or not, if youâre particularly daring!) highlighting a member of the fandom! is there an author you love who scratch a particular itch that canon so cruelly left you with? is there a fanartist who just gets bart and jaime? perhaps thereâs a fan editor whose edits you revisit just to bask in their talent? if any user(s) came to mind, then our askbox is the perfect place to leave these little messages of encouragement.
engagement is the key to any fandom, so hopefully allowing a space where people can express their admiration without the pressure of face to face interaction will be a net positive.
note:
if for some reason one user gets more than a single ask about them, weâll compile the asks into one text post (with image descriptions).
after wednesdayâs ended youâre welcome to send in asks and those will carry on to the next wednesday.
we only ask that you donât exclusively hype up your friend circles. everyone should be able to feel included.

Okay, so I'm totally late in posting this, all of them. But with work and Christmas I didn't have the time and several are still half finished, so I'll finish them up and post them from today on. Anyways, happy (late) 12 days of bluepulse.
Title: Eggnog (or the one where drunk Jaime starts to get a little too friendly)
âłJaimeâs gaze flitted from Bartâs wide-set green eyes to the object in his hand. Suspended from a tarnished chain was a minuscule pendant with an hourglass affixed to its center. Bartâs knuckles were paling from gripping it so tightly, clutching it as if it were his lifeline, or the most precious thing in the world.
âIs thatâ?â
âA time-turner. I used it to come to the past, so that I could stop you.â

can we have Bart drunkenly singing "how to save a life" after a fight with Jaime and Jaime showing up and being like dude what happened and Bart just i said a thing and now you hate me and jaime just um no i don't. i mean sure you were wrong but like i don't hate you. and bart just staring like stunned and jaime just does that mean you are done singing now because um the neighbors are threatening to call in a noise complaint and we don'te ven live here
A/N: This was supposed to be done ages ago but half way through a different idea popped up and I started writing that. And it happened again, and again and again. Itâs a never ending cycle. On an unrelated note (or kind of related) Iâll be posting some more fic tomorrow. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
âââ-
"Step one, you say we need to talk. He walks, you say sit down itâs just a talk," Bart sang, his words slurring together slightly- not from super speed for once. He looked at the bottle in his hand, a goofy smile playing on his lips that quickly fell away. Alcohol was supposed to make you feel better, crash the mode- so to speak. But, it wasnât. Maybe it was his metabolism working it out of his system but that was why he scavenged one of the Green Lanternâs- Bart wasnât quite sure which one at this point- supply of alien liquor. He had saw his grandpa get drunk from it once before. Perhaps he just hadnât drunk enough.
"He smiles politely back at you. You stare politely right on through." The next line was out of his lips as he brought the bottle to them. His mouth pulled into a frown as no sweet alien nectar was forthcoming. Pulling the bottle from him, Bart gave it a little glare before tossing it aside. Empty. He made to snatch another bottle but his hand just swiped uselessly through the air.Â
He frown and tried again, succeeding. Something felt off about it though. He didnât realize what until he brought it to his lips. Nothing, again. With a grunt he threw it against a wall, a nice shattering sound followed. His eyes searched the room but only empty bottles littered the room.
Bart groaned, letting his head bang against the wall behind him. âSome sort of window to your right. As he goes left, and you stay right. Between the lines of fear and blame, you begin to wonder why you came.â The lyrics came out without a thought. His lower lip began to tremble and he could feel the prickle of tears in his eyes. He forced his eyes closed and dragged his hands through his hair.
This was all wrong. All terribly wrong and not crash and awful and wrong. And, and- Jaimeâs fault. Yeah, it was all his fault. His perfect boyfriend, with the perfect accent and the perfectly logical logic. Yes, it was all Jai- Bartâs fault. It could never be Jaimeâs fault. It was always Bartâs.
The auburn let his head fall back against the wall, a nice resounding thunk filled the room. He did it again. And again. Beating himself up as he continued. âAnd where did I go wrong? I lost a friend.â His voice caught on the word with an ugly combination of a sob and a laugh. âSomewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night. Had I known how to save a life.â
Bart lifted his hand and wipe at his cheeks- wet. He hadnât realized when he had stated to cry. He felt his hysteria bubble up in him like a laugh again. He stuffed his fist into his mouth to stifle his sobs- letting the tears flow freely.Â
"Gracias a Dios. Iâve been looking everywhere for you, Bart. Where have you- Carino?"
At the sound of Jaimeâs voice, Bart flinched and brought his knees to his chest- curling in on himself, hiding. He bit his hand harder- a metallic tang of blood filling his mouth. A gentle hand touched his head and slowly lifted it, drawing Bart out of his protective ball.
"Carino, whatâs wrong," Jaimeâs soothing voice asked, trembling just slightly. He pulled Bartâs hand away from his mouth, his eyes widening at the blood. "Bart."
The speedster yanked his hand back, wiping the blood off. It was a small wound, itâd be gone before either realized. âDoesnât matter,â Bart mumbled trying to look away from his boyfriend. But Jaime wouldnât let him.
"It does matter. One minute weâre talking, the next youâre gone- Ay dios mio, are those beer bottles? Alien beer bottles?!" Jaime glanced back over his shoulder, like he often did when talking to his scarab, as he said the last part. "No, I donât need to know which species or the alcohol content or the effect it would have on humans. What were you thinking, Bart? Youâre not even old enough to drink."
Scolding tone directed at Bart, Oh goody. âI already said it doesnât matter. Besides, youhateme.â He tapped into his speed at the last part, afraid to say it but deciding not to drag it out.
"Que? What was that? I couldâve swore you said that I hate you." At the slight nod from Bart, Jaime ran his hand through his hair. "ÂżPor quĂŠ piensas que te odio? EstĂĄs loco? Te amo!"
Freed from his boyfriendâs hold, the auburn curled back up. Even though his was elementary at best, he got the gest of what Jaime was saying- or he thought he did. âBecause I said you were only with me out of pity or that you somehow owe me. Then you got mad,â Bart whispered, his words sounding broken and hollow.Â
"Yo no te odio." He worked his hands under the younger teenâs chin, tilting his head back toward him. "Iâm not dating you out of some sick form of pity or in gratitude. I could never hate you, even if you think I could. I love you."
"Really?"
With a soft chuckle, Jaime leaned forward and placed a kiss on Bartâs forehead- a goofy grin spreading across Bartâs face. âReally.â Jaime pulled his boyfriend onto his feet, keeping him steady. âNow that thatâs settle, we should go. Iâm pretty sure the neighbors called the police due to the noise.â
"Let them come! I can be as loud as I want in my own home!" Bart hollered, swaying slightly on his feet.
