A good chunk of fandom interprets Jamie as a teenager - I could go into a whole thing about shipping purity and viewing demographics to explain why, but it doesn’t really matter.
What matters is I think Jamie is - at least - in his late 20s. Why do I think this?
This picture. This is the picture of a grown man on the brink of madness - who may very well live and die for his craft. This is not some theater nerd teenager who just needs to hang out with other kids for a while - that bus took off for Sad Town a good decade ago.
This is a man who has no family or friends to speak of. He is alone, putting on one-man shows constantly because no one will audition for his plays.
This is a man inexorably trapped in a world riddled with delusions of thespianismic grandeur. When not at his 40-hour a week, drudgery-addled day job as a mailman, he is wearing lead-based stage makeup and making blood sacrifices to Shakespeare’s ghost.
THIS IS A MAN HURTLING TOWARDS 30 IN A MIME OUTFIT. HE HAS NOT SLEPT IN FOUR MONTHS. THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE AROUND TEENAGERS.
