Just want to preface this stream I want to make sure everyone understands how we expect chat to act! We do not tolerate hate speech, spam, or harmful words. Our mods as well as us will be there to uphold expectations and keep this a safe space for everyone.

lastly this is a stream held by two Monkey Wrench fans, not Bee. While they might appear on chapter discussions from time to time this isn't Bee's stream. You are not required to follow me, sub to me, or even join stream. This is all for fun!

Some general tips from someone who’s HoH and used to use hearing aids,

- People tend not to wear their hearing aids when they’re home. They take them out. Hearing aids can be exhausting to wear and taking them out can have the same kind of relief as taking off a bra - if the character hasn’t used hearing aids their whole life, they are going to need an adjustment period to get used to the hearing aids and they will be startled by certain noises. Fun fact: I did not know a coffee maker made noise until I had hearing aids. Just so many instances of “oh wait that thing makes noise??” - Hearing aids do not automatically fix deafness. Typically they will not restore your deafness to a “normal” hearing level, they’ll just help a little. Your character is still going to be HoH. - Do not forget you’re writing a disabled character just because they have an accessibility aid. The issues they face are still present. - Sometimes your hearing aids get really bad feedback and that shit is loud and it hurts. Hearing aids are not all perfect and you should be aware that sometimes they malfunction when you’re writing them. - Hearing aids need batteries. Be aware of that as well.  - if they ever wear headphones, they should take their hearing aids out first. Don’t wear headphones with hearing aids in.  - Sensory overload is a massive thing for hearing aid users. Your character should experience sensory overload more than the average person in loud spaces because they aren’t used to it and it can really overwhelm them. Please be aware of that.
