Hello and welcome to Unpromptedprompts: the one-stop shop for prompts you never asked for. We’re your hosts, Mint and Plum. As shocking as this may sound, these are in fact aliases and not our real names. It is a tragedy.

Here you’ll find prompts of all kinds. We’ve got ones with one word, ones with too many words, ones with *gasp* three words, and some with no words at all! Every day is a different amount of words, courtesy of your lovely, wonderful hosts. We take turns coming up with prompts, so you’ll see either #minty fresh prompts or #plumpts in the tags.

I’m Mint, the one who has to type all of this because Plum is a dictator telling me what to do. I like long fantasy sagas on the beach and a good old fashioned found family trope. I enjoy writing fantasy and adventure stories, with other genres thrown in every now and then. I prefer being very anonymous, so excuse the lack of identity here. Call me Mint with whatever pronouns you fancy! I can give writing advice if you’re desperate. I have some credibility in that.

And I’m Plum! A dictator with style. I tend to specialize in fantasy, sci-fi, and realistic fiction. Though, you’ll find me writing literally whatever comes to mind and occasionally being possessed by beings of another realm to tell their tales. It’s fine, I’m used to it. I will warn you, however, Mint might be one of those beings from another realm and they haven’t realized it yet. I use they/them pronouns. If you want writing advice, all I can say is scream.
