Yooo I also think he was the charter before NSR took over! I think he has ties to the brass fountains around the city as a jazz artist as well, possibly lurking around the depths of the sewers as he's been forgotten by the public; he would have been snuffed out by EDM harder than rock was. I really hope we get to see more of him in the game later on and discover what he's all about, and what his relation is to NSR. -Mod Pango

Oooo this one's very similar to my own hc! I believe he was on the brink of death with several missing parts after some sort of attack or accident during the war. Due to his revered status a robotic body was made for him and his consciousness was turned into an AI (think GLaDOS but not evil lol). He retained his personality and all his memories, but now he's also adjusting to a mostly-metal body, linking to your ideas. I imagine he's also extremely self-conscious about being called a robot. Poor guy is going through a lot! -Mod Pango

I think her house would follow the aesthetics of the rest of the district, but amplified to the max. Black and white marbley motifs, with golden accents integrated into the furniture/plumbing, and multicolored hues everywhere! Like a rug that changes colors, and lights that look like eyes. Of course she would have a studio area, messy with paint and unfinished projects. -Mod Pango

I can imagine him pulling all-nighters just making toys and knick-knacks. I do think that robotics and building is a special interest of his! -Mod Pango "☆ To add onto the figurines and robotics, toy design is one of his passions alongside dancing. He believes toys of all shapes and sizes to be very important to a person’s development child or not. Toys are important projections of who we are and what we want to become, similarly to how he projects his passion and desires onto 1010.  He gradually shifted them away from his war mindset to friendlier, prettier performers, their defensive battle mechanics only used when necessary. They're an outlet for his inability to express himself, a mask of sorts. Considering masking/projection are common within the spectrum, it just fits so well when you take his concept in mind.  So as someone who never really had the chance to embrace that side of him, toys are clearly special to Neon J's character. He loves to make knicks and toys and often finds himself building away from night to dawn on his latest projects. It fits well into the toy shop headcanon too -Mod Nine 

I do think that they'd have a sort of familial connection! Neon J strikes me as someone who is great with kids, and he helps out Sayu's crew with paperwork and such. Maybe he would build Sayu a robotic body so she could experience life outside the digital realm. I think she'd make an adorable honorary little sister for 1010!

Oh man, I remember that trend! Was that really 8 years ago??? Anyway, Mayday definitely comes to mind, I feel like she'd enjoy doing funky internet challenges. Sayu, Yinu, and 1010 would definitely hop on the trend too, I could see Neon J and Mama donating directly to the cause. -Mod Pango
