and our claim came true.

i hate youtube and i hate how manipulative this man is. it’s fucking sickening. it doesn’t seem he’ll get away with it this time, even if his victim is being manipulated, but this needs to be a lesson for the future:

we CANNOT let these things happen. we aren’t the only ones who saw this coming from a mile away. youtube needs to do better. every platform needs to do better. the adults in these situations need to do better.

...I have no sympathy for pedos who knowingly act on their despicable urges. Especially since this trauma is going to hit Jelly/Jane in full throttle later down the fucking line, aka when she's older. She's not at fault, HE'S at fault. I'm sorry for the rant here, pedophiles make my skin crawl and my blood boil.

People saying “wow this is such a good apology” have to either be kids who have only seen colleen ballinger’s apology or incredibly sheltered adults. an apology alone isn’t good enough. he’s ruined his chance to apologize already by continuing to double down and lie, now it’s obvious he’s only saying sorry because he was backed into a corner. and even then, he’s denying and glossing over huge chunks of the story where he can.

and in any case, his apology needs to be coupled with him leaving the internet entirely and turning himself in if it’s going to be worth anything at all. but he’s skirted around the outright illegal things that he’s done, anyway.

This is exactly why 'non-perfect' victims need support. It takes time to actually understand what happened to you

every time someone says “but she says she wasn’t groomed!!” …do you know what “grooming” means? of course the person who was GROOMED doesn’t think they were being GROOMED.

i defended my abuser for YEARS and the only reason we broke off when i was 14 was because my parents found out. and i felt what jelly is feeling— like i broke up with a boyfriend. i was heartbroken. if you read my diary entries from our time together too, they sound a lot like how jelly talks about dev: “i know it’s wrong and i know he’s taking advantage of me but i just love being around him so much”, essentially. i also didn’t have a healthy relationship with my parents nor a good home life and i think that made me a target for predators, bc they knew i craved stability and love from an adult.

my best friend hated him while i was “dating” him and i made them apologize for being rude to him. we are still best friends to this day, have been since elementary school. and since i’ve been able to see the forest through the trees, i’ve thanked them for trying to help me, even if i didn’t listen.

this is something that takes time. people forget she’s a kid!

My opinion on it is this: it doesn’t matter if this was a honeypot all along, and it doesn’t even matter if she is 18 or older after all. It is entirely true that this entire time, Alex thought she was 16 years old. Now that he has admitted to this, there is no way to take it back. He’s still a pedophile, even if he *did* fall for a honeypot (and if anyone wants to debate me on this, I’d just like to ask them if they think that the people on TCAP “aren’t actually pedos” because they were also fooled by a decoy that isn’t actually underage. Not to mention his other underage victims.)

I’m posting this for the sake of transparency and fairness. Usually, I would not entertain rumors that a victim who claimed to be underage may have actually been an adult attempting to trick Alex all along. This, however, has highly substantial evidence (the victim has posted her Discord username/honeypot server on these 4chan posts, has posted identifying unique photos of herself along with those posts, and all those posts are linked to her ID number.)

If you’ve heard already, you probably know what I’m talking about, and if not, I’m not going to post the evidence here to be on the safe side as well as for victim privacy, as this is still a developing situation.

Also, 35 + 18 is still a harmful age gap regardless, so….yeah. Just because 18 is the legal age of consent doesn’t mean that isn’t creepy and gross regardless, even if Alex DID somehow know that she was 18 all along (which he didn’t, and which still isn’t confirmed.) It also doesn’t mean that the victim isn’t actually, you know, a victim.

I wanted to address this before it gets out of hand. My opinion remains the same: Alex’s actions do not suddenly change just because of the intent of his victim. He’s still a pedo.
