Magistream is just fine! It is down (and has been for a few weeks now) as it is undergoing so much much needed deep maintenance to hopefully fix all those errors and lag we've been having.

The main thing is, the site is just, OLD. Like, really old, and running on some old hardware/software. I'm not sure it's ever had new hardware (aside from after that one big crash a few years back).

The site is currently in a strange, log in only mode so that Rosehill can work on some backend forum and coding stuff.

From one of the last posts made by Rosehill it seems like the site might be down a couple more weeks (well, a week and a bit at this point I would think) as they need to recode a lot of stuff (as the old stuff is incompatible with the new stuff) as well as giving the site a bit of a facelift.

So, things are progressing and should, hopefully be done in another week/few weeks? You can follow the progress on the official twitter and facebook page.

And don't worry, they confirmed, before the site went down, that the July and August doni's releases would be extended to make up for the downtime, so don't worry.

Also, we have a discord if you wanna hang out with other users while waiting! And ALSOALSO, they're (as in, magistream itself) hosting an event during the downtime (tl;dr creature creation), you can find more information about that there, as well on the twitter and discord, if that interests you ofc.

Funny enough when I noticed this blog had gained a follower last night I contemplated making a post about the down time, but it was late.

In a twist today, we have a DOUBLE release.

First up are Creatures 1092 and 1093, the Keeatl and Weiroatl.

This is a regular release and they can be found in the stream and will be flooding the stream up to and including March 3rd. They appear to be recolours of the donation pets.

The sprite work was done by Mysfytt and the creature text was done by PKGriffin.

Second we have the monthly donation pets, creatures 1094 and 1095, the Clouded Keeatl (3 shards) and Pearled Weiroatl (5 shards)!

This is the monthly donation pet release and will remain until April 1st.

As if knowing what I was up to earlier, we got a stream release today!

Creature 1139: Ratumbidae

This is a regular stream release and is currently flooding the stream and will do so till the 8th. It is a permanent release.

It appears to be a recolour of the June Donation pets

Creature 1136: Spotted Nivalis Bear

A special release for the Black Market, a randomly visiting shop with rare creatures. It’s a recolour of a previously released set of donation pets from 2013, the White Nivalis Bear and Black Nivalis Bear.

They cost 5000 gold in the BM

Creatures 1137/1138: Heavenly/Celestial Avarna

The July donation pet release. They will remain in the shop till August.

I’m a little late as this was released early this morning but, I bring you, creature 1096, the Ardulen Grotesque

This is a regular creature release and they can be found in the Stream. They are a permanent creature and will flood up until (and including) the 13th!
