I really like video games, but being non-binary and a gamer can be so rough sometimes. There's obviously the rampant misgendering of the few existing enby characters, but that's not exactly exclusive to gaming. What bothers me way more is character creator options. I personally use he/she pronouns and it's so annoying that technically I can use my pronouns in every game with gender options, but not in the way I like. I'm still binarised and forced to choose between one of two boxes. And whenever there is a non-binary option, it ususally uses they/them, which makes me feel misgendered. So I can never really play as myself in games, even if I want to. I always roleplay someone else. And I always feel bad bringing this up to anyone because having non-binary options at all is already extremely rare and I am happy for anyone who does feel represented by them, but sometimes I honestly prefer having a game that has no non-binary option at all instead of one that makes me feel excluded and erased like that... *sigh*
My pronouns are he/it, I deeply relate. A lot of creators seem to feel that all nonbinary people are they/thems, which is a disrespectful term even if you don't take into account how horribly wrong it is
at this point, OB!Riddle should be considered as an entire seperate entity as Riddle lmao
