Hi, love your blog and the stories/headcannons youâve written! :D I was wondering if you had any f!byleth x shamir headcannons?
You bet your bottom dollar I have some headcanons for disaster gay F!Byleth and her huge crush on everyoneâs favorite goth archer!
Being raised as a mercenary herself, Byleth was very quick to seek out Shamir after being introduced to the rest of the faculty at Garreg Mach, since she still felt a bit uncomfortable around the other teachers (and the idea of being a professor)
And, well, it didnât hurt that the female knight was incredibly easy on the eyes, and watching her practice with a bow was something else
Byleth was never raised particularly religious despite her dad being an ex-Knight of Seiros, so itâs also pretty nice to have someone to talk to who isnât a devout believer - itâs a weight off of Bylethâs shoudlers, honestly
Shamir wasnât overly impressed by Jeraltâs kid at first, but she warms up to Byleth as she realized how capable the mercenary is, and she enjoys how Byleth isnât put off by her blunt nature
Byleth at the beginning is⌠not that great with bows tbh, sheâs mainly a melee fighter. The first time Shamir catches Byleth practicing shooting she bursts out laughing at her technique and Byleth blushes so hard, she has never been more flustered oh my gods Shamir you canât tell her students about this theyâll never let her live it down
The two end up agreeing on mutual training/sparring sessions at least once a week, where Shamir teaches Byleth about how to handle a bow (which Byleth is totally focused on okay, no she is not distracted by how close Shamir is standing behind her as she fixes her position, what are you talking about) and Byleth helps Shamir with her sword or axe technique (and no, Shamir was not taken aback by how hot it was to be knocked flat on her ass by this gorgeous green-haired whirlwind who smirked playfully and pointed a sword at her throat after the fact, shut up)
The thing is, neither of them are particularly good or bad at flying, so one day Byleth suggests they switch up their training session to go improve their skills with the pegasi. Spoiler alert: it is a disaster, because Byleth is too busy cooing at her pegasus the whole time and keeps getting distracted, which distracts Shamir, and the whole session is just a fit of giggles and shenanigans from two normally extremely capable fighters (âLook Shamir, I can do this upside down!â âByleth, you idiot, donât even try to- Byleth no!â
After that, the two of them start spending a lot more time together outside of their training sessions, just going on walks in the garden or rides around the forest that surrounds the monastery. Byleth loves suggesting fun little activities like racing their mounts, and Shamir smiles a lot more often and more genuinely with this this amazing woman whoâs come to mean so much to her and light up her life.Â
The faculty and the students both have separate betting pools going on about when they will get together at this point, but itâs Cyril who ends up getting them to confess when he interrupts one of Byleth and Shamirâs âtraining sessionsâ by marching up to Byleth and saying that she could go on a date with his mentor later, for now he has some actual scheduled learning to doÂ
Byleth gets super flustered and Shamir gets ready to scold her pupil, but Byleth awkwardly (and adorably!) bumbles her way through a confession, which Shamir even more awkwardly and stiltedly accepts, but Cyril saves them both from their mutual embarrassment by reminding Shamir that he is supposed to be training with her right now? Hello???
Byleth does a proper confession with flowers later that night in the gardens, complete with a gold star pin that she attaches to Shamirâs coat and proclaims that Shamir has officially graduated her teachings, and that she can now be promoted from her student to her girlfriend c;. Shamir grumbles about how she was the one who had mostly been teaching Byleth, but she smiles a soft smile that only Byleth ever gets to see and accepts the flowers with a carefulness people donât usually associate with her character.
They may both be battle-hardened and jaded, but the moonlight has never felt as forgiving as when it washes over the both of them in a soft glow while they kiss under the stars <3
