You know what? There's still not enough angst, here
People have already noted how Ruby's lashing out at Blake, how even though it was part of her breakdown, it was still targeted. Let's focus the same on her line to Weiss.
"Gotta find someone who isn't just going to screw everything up!" Is directed to Weiss, not to the whole team like when she aired about being the leader, but her partner specifically.
"I am so tired of leaving places in ashes"
"Maybe Jaune and Winter were able to get them out, despite everything. Despite... Us"
Weiss and Ruby have been having their own, much angstier arc than Blake and Yang, but now I think that's all been reframed.
Even though Weiss is trying to put the blame on all of them, really all that does in Ruby's head is put the blame on her, the leader. Every time Weiss' doubt and misgivings came through to her partner, even though she was trying to hold solidarity with her, it's obvious now that Ruby was taking each one as a reminder that she's a failure, not a Huntress (at least by her standard of one). That must have been a lot for a girl whose knees were already buckling; when she needed a life jacket and the one person she should count on above all others was just another anchor
