The comeback trailer made me really soft so I had to write about it. It’s a short little drabble but it turned out better than I hoped.

He lived by the sea.

The house was small but bright. The lightly colored walls were warm and welcoming. The wind blew through his open windows and wrapped around him in a comforting embrace. The way the light filtered in through the large windows was as if the sun itself lived there, warming every corner, acting as a spotlight for the beautiful man that resided within.

Besides the sun, he lived with his cat; a calico he found as a small, stray kitten. The cat liked to lay on the man’s lap while he read, the sunlight from the window behind the couch warming them both. They would walk the beach together on early mornings and at twilight. Some nights they’d sit in the windowsill, cuddled up together watching the stars. The man loved these nights; he loved the cat.

He loved the stars.

Some nights he’d spend looking at the sky through the skylight above his bed. Some nights he’d spend on that sill. But most nights he spent on the roof, wrapped in his yellow blanket with his telescope beside him. The stars would be spilled out across the sky above him. The moon, much like the sun, would bathe him and his house and his cat in its soft glow. The universe was laid out before him, so big and unknown. The man found its embrace comforting and its vast depths inviting. The sun, the moon, the sky; they made him feel so many things. Sitting on his roof, he would look up at the sky in wonder, as if he was seeing for the first time once again. And he would smile up at it all, because he knew, above all else, this was where he belonged. He didn’t have to search anymore.

In this tiny house by the ocean, watching the night sky above him, he found it.

How do you even draw that??? It’s 2 am and I have school later and seeing Mochi so cute keeps me awake because he’s so precious

My precious son I’m gonna cri I can’t stress how adorable he is my heart is not ok
