Crescent Moon Couple

my understanding of Lamina based on Canon, Canon based headcanons, my own projections, and random headcanons for fun lol

for some reason I think about her personal style a lot. I think in general (not just style wise) she's more feminine. Obviously she can't wear dresses and skirts to work (although she'd definitely own some for going out) but she expresses that style more through colors, patterns, and clothing details. Lots of florals, polka dots, lace (not usually on her work clothes), pleats, etc. She loves being coordinated and put together with her outfits, whatever they're for. She likes them to be cohesive in some way, even if it only makes sense to her. She doesn't usually wear makeup, in part because of it's rarity and price, but it’s also just kind of a pain LOL. She wears the same hairstyle pretty often. Don't fix what isn’t broken. She also likes bringing natural elements into her outfits, whether it's wildflowers or feathers in her hair, or staining her lips and cheeks with berries, she enjoys the creativity of it and telling people "Thanks, I found it in *some undefined place in the woods* 😛" Some other physical appearance notes aside from what's obvious, she's got random little freckles all over, except on her face where they're concentrated (lightly) at the corners of her eyes, she has a lot of scars, mostly on her knees and legs, she's above average for height, fairly muscular, and she tans and burns pretty equally.

2. Personality is obviously where I'm more Canon compliant. She is, obviously, an emotional person, however she's also very crafty and has used that to her advantage. A lot of people say she was just acting when she was crying and sad in the games, but like...she was just sent to die 😭😭 why wouldn't it be real. But she absolutely used that to her advantage and didn't try to mask any of it much. She cries easily, but she's learned it can help her get out of scrapes. More headcanony...she's a VERY curious person (see previously mentioned about getting into scrapes) to the point where she can become nosy. She's got a lot of scars from tumbles in the woods (many on her knees and legs) and she's not held in high regard by the peacekeepers. She never tries to cause trouble on purpose, but she's aware it's inevitable and is pretty resigned to it.

She is also a very gentle person. Like. Think Sleeping Beauty (literally cause my next note was gonna be on how she's The Sleeper. She will be sleeping). She feeds the woodland and domestic animals when food allows, enjoys baking to share with neighbors, and is really good at comforting people. She loves going on rambles through the woods, and Treech says her laugh sounds like wind chimes so write that down too. And she's a HUGE romantic. Loves romance. Give it to her. She is pretty introverted though. Ngl she gives off the vibes of somebody who never really had good female connections or female friends (or friends in general) growing up, and still doesn't really have a lot of friends. So she's kind of clingy and that's how she ended up with Treech lol he wasn't going anywhere.

3. Random stuff piled together time 🔥🔥🔥 D7 is a very large district, so what I've been thinking is that there are a lot of towns scattered around and one gets picked to be reaped from each year SO treemina DID know each other thank you very much HIROKI. Lamina is an only child but she's got both her parents and a cat named Stew 😛 some things she enjoys in no particular order are: deer, owls, cats, fireflies, cinnamon flavor (not artificial spicy), street musicians, nighttime, wildflowers, creeks, tiny silver fish, corduroy, fun hats, sweets, foxes, berries, love letters, lavender scent, sunsets, navy blue, lace, unicorns, dragons, dancing, really tight hugs, laughing at 3 a.m until you think you're going to break your ribs, crickets and birds chirping, bones(she's got a lot of little skulls and antlers in her room), feathers, any little treasures from nature, and probably a lot more things that I will inevitably think of later.

If she was in a MODERN setting 😏 here are MORE things she would like 😛: 60's/70's medieval revival, medieval in general, cathedrals and beautiful church architecture, folk music (fiddlessssss👀👀👀fiddlesssssssssss👀👀👀), antiqueing, air fryers, Broadway, 2000's Tuscan aesthetic, global village coffeehouse aesthetic, R&B music, Pinterest, digicams, Ren fairs, just so many aesthetics, neon lights, the whole aesthetic of the old west and Americana (did I mention so many aesthetics), I think she'd be interested in the history too, natural history museums, don’t attack me ok but the nostalgia aesthetic 😭😭, werewolves, rom coms, period dramas, ACCURATE PERIOD DRAMA COSTUMING, being normal about accuracy, peaches, plums, andddd I'm finally blanking so that's the end of the list for now.

I think aside from Treech, the tributes she would have connected with at least somewhat were Tanner and Lucy Gray. Probably some of the minor tributes too, but I don’t have enough information or opinions on them to think hard about it. Let me expand though, especially on Tanner. She and Tanner wouldn’t have really been friends question mark? I mean kind of but they'd be the kind to always annoy each other to NO END. And when they get along then they annoy everyone else LOL. I think they could have made a real genuine connection (if not a positive one), and had a very interesting dynamic if somehow they'd been able to interact long term. She would have chewed him out for pushing her cause what did he do that for 😭. They really have a Deer and coyote dynamic to me cause one lone coyote really can't take down a deer I think it would just annoy the deer or maybe like bite it until it gets an infection and dies idk (Tanner would not bite her maybe) but like I feel like they would be friendly nuisances.

And as for Lucy Gray, I just think their personalities would compliment each other well lol. Quite an essay compared to tanmina analysis.

I will think of all the things I forgot to add when I'm trying to go to sleep, so there may be edits to this post.

Lamina

In a Panem setting, she'd prefer to do just about anything that gets her out of the mill. I think she'd enjoy baking, so maybe that. In modern day...unemployed. But if she had to have one it would probably be something kind of outdoorsy...maybe more outsidey...I can see her working at a plant nursery idk.

Ideal date is running around in the woods and creek and playing "is this berry poisonous or not" (Maybe not the last one...). Deermaxxing date.

Panem birthday party...ngl the same as the date LOL. Let her frolic. In modern day (I'm gonna project) something very themed and elaborate like maybe one of those medieval themed parties those are cool.

Treech

Stupidest thing he's ever done to impress somebody is eat a bunch of holly berries when he was about 12 because his friends bet him to and said only wimps get sick. And if Treech is one thing. It's not a wimp (it is).

In Panem he'd like to find a way to get out of there. He knows that's kind of a pipe dream though so he doesn't mind the thought of eventually having a family and just kind of being left alone by everybody. In modern day I have no idea lol.

Tanner

Favorite movie...I mean some sort of old western is the obvious answer but I don't know enough of those to be specific. Tanner expert @sold-down-the-river will probably have input.

He just does stupid things for fun, but specifically to impress somebody I'm gonna say trying to ride a very green mustang when he was the stupidest age of all (14). Obviously it went terribly cause he's a slaughterhouse worker not a cowboy lol.
