Hmm alright I gotcha. I feel like the difference here is on how much action we are envisioning for this hypothetical game.
well it still has to feel like a metroid game or nobody will give a shit

I’m thinking Chozo teaching her things and at the same time the player the mechanics of the game So there’s no need to do the lose all your items sequence that’s in most of the games without justification. That way Samus can really start from scratch
thats not what i was trying to say, im referring to the high-action segment to start off the game so you dont have to go through a very long chozo tutorial before you get to fight anything; the high-action segment gives the player a feel for the core gameplay and tone of the game
mobiusmatrix replied to your post “metroid game about samus’ origin story and her time with the chozo?...”
That sounds interesting as an opening intro/tutorial sequence. I want to see Samus making a name for herself bounty hunting.
idk metroid is usually pretty good about starting samus off with all of her equipment in the opening sequence so you can really get a feel for the game, and then having her lose her equipment and have to find it and earn it back? idk itd take some thought

What do you think of them potentially continuing the series beyond the movie?
Leave it. Any more than this would just be entirely unnecessarily.
