we walk over to some empty chairs placing our bags down. yn looks around and takes a deep breath. 

i want to leave now. she thinks to herself.

leeseo takes off her shoes and joins her as well. as much as she acts like she doesn’t want to be here, she’s glad they did. ever since summer break started she’d been in her room doing absolutely nothing. maybe this is a good thing…

juun digs in her bag, grabs her sunscreen and starts applying it. “here yn!”. juun says as she’s done and yn mods as she takes the sunscreen from her and starts applying as well.

leeseo scans the pool, and her eyes widen as she notices a certain someone. 

she points and shouts, “look! i think it’s keonho from physics!” juun and yn immediately look up looking over to see if it’s true. and all three girls make eye contact right at the same time.

because it was keonho. ahn keonho. the captain and star on the school's swim team. the boy who always looked bored in class. the boy who’d always ask yn for a pencil because he never came prepared. the boy who’d come to class soaked, because he had swim 4th period. the boy yn has liked since he joined her class. and that same boy had somehow got more attractive once summer break started. 

and now he’s a lifeguard. at the same pool yn and her friends are at.

“oh my gosh! i didn’t know he worked here?” she smiles. yn looks away from her friends and her gaze on the boy lingers longer than necessary, a smile forming on her face and her cheeks turning slightly red. she immediately stop once leeseo notices.

,eeseo glances at yn, then a big smirk forms on her face, "you think he's cute." yn looks at her eyes wide and a shocked expression, “w-what? no i don’t!” yn says in defense.

“uhm you so do! juun did you see the way she looked at him?” she turns to juun for back up.

“yeah yn, you didn’t hide it well…” she says then laughs.

they stopped nagging yn (for now) and spent the next hour swimming around and having fun. eventually, the nagging came back and almost every second they’d mention keonho.

“hey yn…” juun says suspiciously.

“no.” she replies back

“you didn’t even let me finish!” juun whines.

yn smiles at her friends reaction and keeps swimming around. She looks up and notices the brown haired boy looking right at her, but then he notices a kid running and blows the whistle.

“hey! no running or else you’re banned for the rest of the summer!” he shouts with a strict tone.

right after yelling, he looks back at yn and gives her a little smile, then looks away, watching over the pool. 

yn smiles to herself, and continues swimming around with her friends. it’s all pretty fun until she gets splashed by a boy jumping into the pool. leeseo laughs loudly, and yn smiles then laughs along. little does she know that keonho notices and chuckles to himself.

about 30 minutes pass by and the sun had started to set and the pool was soon to close. the girls were starting to get tired. “are you guys ready to go?” leeseo asks, the girls all nod yes and they all gather out of the pool and walk over to their chairs to dry off. as they are putting their stuff back together, yn looked up and catches keonho already looking in her direction. she smiles at him and he glances away with a small smile as well.

yn had forgotten how to function.

just before they were about to leave, keonho runs up to the group of girls and taps yn on the shoulder. yn turns around shocked he even came up to her, “o-oh hey keonho!” she says.

keonho smiles then, “hey! i was wondering…” he pauses. yn looks at him wondering what he’s about to say. then he continues, “are you guys gonna come back next week?” yn looks at her friends who are giggling, smiling, and couldn't make it more obvious. juun mouths to her “say yes!” yn turns back and smiles at keonho, “possibly..” she says in a flirty tone.

he nods at what she says and smiles. “good, see you next week.” he winks and says in a flirty tone back.
