OH YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE Oh i get to yap.

So. Like. I do not have EVERYTHING figured out. But my idea is that like. Mario is already worried BEFORE the adventure starts, because Luigi just kinda. Disappears. One day. From Mario's POV Luigi just straight up ghosted everybody before disappearing, and nobody knows where he is (since the last place Luigi was known to have been was his own house).

And then, all of a sudden, this like. Pandemic of negativity hits the Mushroom Kingdom. Since I think Luigi is kind of like. His thunderhand is kinda glohm infused during this story, so he doesn't need the zapper gun, he can just use thunderhand to do it. Like. He is doing this in secret for a good while. And ofc Peach and Mario notice and, much like BIS, Peach decides to hold a meeting to talk about it, and this time she realizes this could also effect Bowser, especially if it's some NEW bad guy, and Bowser doesn't like the idea of being outstaged by another villain, so she's able to convince him to. Be. Somewhat "nice". A truce, for the time being

Now I haven't actually considered Luigi's potential lackies, but I could totally see Polterpup being one of them. His little guard dog (cause the idea of Polterpup having a big angy form like Polterkitty is fun as heck to me). Maybe I could work Gooigi into this AU too, cause if it n Luigi are mentally linked then I'm sure it would like. Notice? But also I imagine this could just. Effect Gooigi in a more negative way, where Luigi could have actual control over it while remaining separate. Glohm Gooigi sounds fun. Is all I'm saying (and ofc. Mario, seeing Gooigi and Polterpup, would think Luigi is in danger if this new villain is using them like this)

The main like. Squad to me in this au is Mario, Peach, and Bowser. Is this bc I am an SPM fan? Yes. Yes it is. This is literally just because I love that trio and I love SPM and SMRPG and I want them working together to solve the bigger issue.

I imagine that most of the bosses would be things Luigi invents to interrupt them from stopping him. Cause I don't know if he remembers who he is (I like to think he does, but the Glohm and all that effect his perception of his memories n he's objectifying himself so hard), so he would at least know how much of a nuisance these 3 could be especially when on a team. So, prevent them from ever reaching him

And of course. The actual reveal. I think that like. In my head the final encounter of this AU takes place in Peach's castle, which kinda acts like Fortress Zokket. Like, while the trio were out tryna find a way to cure the negativity epidemic taking over the kingdoms, Luigi basically took over Peach's castle. So when they get back to administer the cure they find it like. Covered in a thick fog of Glohm.

At the top of the castle, like, the roof, Luigi is there with Reclusa's egg. And ofc there's a fight. And during that fight is when the reveal would happen. Cause Luigi would just say screw it and start using his thunderhand, and Mario only knows ONE PERSON who can do that. And it would all click. Polterpup, Gooigi. Luigi missing...the thunderhand. Oh. Oh stars n o. He would never....not willingly...then...who would be controlling him...Luigi couldn't just BE EVIL right...?

And I think Reclusa basically begins waking up during the fight, because I think Luigi's insecurities were definitely like. Amped up by Reclusa. So I imagine he is just. GOING OFF (about things he doesn't even believe. Cause at this point in time Luigi is much more secure about himself, but we all have intrusive thoughts). And it's just making more Glohm around the area, which is just making Reclusa like. Wake up.

So like. Partway through the fight the ground begins shaking and the egg begins glowing and Luigi just stops what he's doing because it's happening. He goes from fighting the trio to ignoring them completely in favor of Reclusa. Who, of course, begins turning Peach's Castle into the Solitree. Bowser has to grab Mario and Peach and run out of there since I like the idea of him carrying them, since Mario is just staring in horror and Peach is just trying to get him to MOVE.

After the trio escape and like. Land back in Toad Town, that's when the simulation flowers start showing up and grabbing the Toads. Idk if they'd still be plug themed or not, haven't decided if I subscribe to "Reclusa's vibe is different depending on the world he was reborn in" or not. But ofc the Trio see this and know they have to get back in there and stop Reclusa, but they probably need to rescue Luigi first. Cause if Reclusa is all about isolation and hatred, then they need both Mario bros to combat him.

Meanwhile, Luigi is. Basically acting as a lackie for Reclusa, and we know Reclusa doesn't actually care about him. But, he is entertained by how mindlessly devoted he's become. So he sits him on the throne of Peach's throne room and offers to show him TRUE isolation, n ofc, if your brain was rewired to worship a god of isolation and loneliness, you would be HONORED. So into the Simulation Flower Luigi goes! Willingly, mind you

And that's the moment he is finally allowed to be in his right mind again. And Reclusa just. TOYS with him. In there. Forcing him to live in a perpetual NIGHTMARE where his loved ones tell him how much this is HIS fault and how much they don't actually care about him and it's just. Bad. How bad it gets can be up to interpretation but. I think it gets pretty bad!!

My visual for how Luigi gets dragged out is just. The trio finding him in the throne room, overgrown with those little flowers that showed up when Reclusa takes over Concordia in Brothership. They're like smaller versions of the simulation flowers. But Luigi is just like. Overgrown in them. And I just imagine Mario hugging him. N then Peach joining. And then Bowser RELUCTANTLY joining because. I am a sucker for the SPM quartet.

Now I haven't entirely figured out how this AU ends yet, like how exactly they defeat Reclusa, but I do know that Luigi joins the party because he HAS TO. And I do have a scene in my head of Mario just putting Luigi's hat on his head to welcome him back to being himself n Luigi just. Hugs him. Cause Them.

I do think the bros get the final hit on Reclusa, bc in my head it's like. Peach gets a hit with her parasol (this is for my kingdom), Bowser gets to punch him in the face (there can only be ONE guy tryna take over this kingdom), and then Mario and Luigi get to hit him together (this is what you get for messing with the bros). Think the end of the SMB Movie where they both kick Bowser in the face.

Ya this is kind of all I have actually I have a lot of thoughts about this AU and if it wasn't obvious this AU exists also because I was like. I could get smth similar to Mr. L but with a COMPLETELY different vibe.
