Venus was the goddess of love.

They were lovers.

Sometimes love and anger are

two sides of the same coin,

till it becomes unbalanced,

anger wins and we have all these women

killed by men who say they loved them.

“She was mine” and more than a thousand  killed this year in my country.

It’s very easy to say “Choose love”

and put it in mugs and T-shirts,

but when your rights are trampled upon,

you feel intimidated or abused,

they don’t let you speak,

there is something called

righteous anger.

Of course Venus can seduce Mars into a lamb.

it’s always darkest before dawn.

You don’t see where you tread,

Tenebrosity invades you,

blind and tired,

the path is lost but

don’t give up, keep going,because

it’s always darkest before dawn

There’s a tiny ray of light

that flickers away on the horizon

We need a change

It itches

A different way is needed

It’s irksome,

and bothersome.

and finally, we take the step,

shift gear full speed ahead

without considering

what we leave behind,

that may be waiting for us, again,

at the end of the road.

What’s so cruel about it is that the abandoned person is

left waiting for a message  that will never come

Sad,I went out in the garden and I heard the roses and weeds whispering by:

“Don’t worry, they said, he wasn’t good anyhow.

He would have hurt you later, harder.”

Lilies told me that he had a problem:

“One does not ghost a witch and goes on happily ever after”.

It cannot happen this way, the rose said:

“The untold goodbye, the unsaid message will haunt him forever”.

A haunting message. I’m not revengeful,as witches go,

but that must be something!

Tulips were no more lenient, and ivy was adamant: “Haunted forever”,she said.

Then I came in,looked at my computer:

There was a message from you

saying you had just woken up!

Darn! This flora is nuts!

(I bet they were gossiping about my mental balance)

is nothing but poetic.

Codependence.

Control issues

Stalking

Plutonic love.

Smothering love is the result

I saw her standing

beautiful, straight and austere

like a doric column

sticking out from the rest

unavailable, distant

her mind away from

the shabby surroundings,

no eye contact with the rest

of the applicants

So there she was

she couldn’t care less

I know I’m no hero

I know I’m weak

But I can assure you

This heart will endure

This heart will go on

This heart will love you

I swear I was old enough,

a mature woman,

when I let myself be dwindled

Maybe it was when they

extracted my gall bladder,

like a philosopher's stone,

I don’t know- or when they slandered me.

I started to feel small, to speak less

to withdraw, to allow

injustice in my face

My power waned,

I became almost invisible.

Inaudible,

silent,

dead.

Finding my voice again is going to take some effort,
