Hi, askjennie! My question may sound weird, but I hope you'll try to reply anyway. If it is not possible I totally understand, since I see you receive many asks. Could you please give me tips on social interaction in western countries? I think I understand the basis, but I'm stuck on how to create positive long-lasting relationships with people. All people my age I know already have friends and partners, I'm afraid I'm doing things wrong. Thank you! (Please tag this as "mmua" for me to find it)
Sorry, but I think this is a bit too vague for me to answer. Firstly, social interaction varies a lot between different ‘Western’ countries - for example, there are a lot of differences between how British and American people interact. Secondly, it would be helpful to have some examples, maybe of things that you’ve already noticed are different from your own culture, or situations that you’re not sure about how to act in!
Has anyone else had any experience of Western vs. non-Western countries, and how social interaction differs between them?
