she knew why she wasn’t in class, but dark eyes narrowed at the sight of her cousin entering the courtyard. had something happened in his class? or had hatori messaged him to let him know that he was coming by to pick her up early for a doctor’s visit? rin wasn’t sure, and she didn’t really want to be the first to speak, in case he hadn’t noticed her yet. not that she could hide easily in this stupid yellow uniform dress...

the downside, however, was that she didn’t really have a lot of shades that worked for the blond’s coloring. a problem that became all the clearer as she tested her foundation against his cheek.  “ ugh, we may have to go get some more, so that it can match. “  money wasn’t a problem, of course, they were sohmas after all. but spending an afternoon out with momiji wasn’t rin’s idea of a good time. .... could be worse though.

“ i’m fine. “  and for once, the words were actually somewhat closer to the truth than it was when she had said them before. but for now she was, relatively. glancing up at her relative, she tried to give him a reassured look, not that it was something she was used to doing.  “ really momiji, i’m... alright now. just needed to sit down, that’s all. “

          A warm, soft feeling formed at his words. “ And that’s why. . . why I always try my best. ” if it was for herself and Momiji--- her family, the attempt meant more than she could ever realize.

He shrugged, “sure; why not?”

L glanced up from his laptop to see who had approached him, probably wondering why he was sitting on the floor when there were numerous chairs available.  “Yes?”
