The screams are coming closer and you're too nervous to even swallow

When the screams stop, you grow more nervous

......

"Is it over...?"

You're not sure what to do --should you go out? Should you stay?

As you're thinking that, you hear shuffling by the entrance to the tent

A shaft of light enters as the cloth is lifted, followed by the shadow of a man

You tense and try to make yourself smaller

"Don't come here...please don't come here."

You feel as though your nerves are going to overwhelm you, your senses heightened as you listen to his footsteps moving around the room

"Hello~ Anyone here? I wonder if there's a little bunny hiding in here..."

You shut your eyes as the footsteps come closer to where you're hiding...

...and then it passes by you

"Hmm...I could've sworn someone would use this place as a hiding place."

The footsteps retreat back to the entrance and you hear the cloth being lifted

You remain silent for a few more heartbeats, then lower your hands and let out the breath you were holding

"Oh my God...that was terrifying. I should stay here for a bit more, just to be--"

A shadow falls over you

With a gasp, you look up and see a wide grin

"Hello, little bunny."

You squeal and drop to the floor as he reaches for you, crawling out from the behind the chest and running around the tent, trying to get to the exit

He's too fast though --one minute, he's lying on his belly on top of the chest and the next, he's jumps up and makes a beeline for you

Wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you against him

"You can't run away from me~"

His lips press a kiss to your ear and you feel your face getting warm

"I told you I'd find you, didn't I? No matter where you are, 606."

You laugh and turn your head, meeting Saeyoung's puckered lips

You're both laughing through the kiss, lips moving against each other's, Saeyoung pulling you closer, pressing your body to his

But when you feel his tongue tracing your lower lip, you abruptly pull away, face burning

"Saeyoung! Not here!" you say in an exclaimed whisper, flustered

He continues laughing and turns you so you're facing him

"But MC, I missed you. I was going crazy looking for you!"

You shake your head, giggling

"Mr Seven-oh-Seven! As "it" for this round of hide and seek, your mission was to look for the children! Not me!"

"Ohoho~ But I already found all the children! It's the prized bunny I needed to find..."

He takes your chin in his hands and smirks

His voice drops to a low, seductive whisper

"...and now that I've found you, I'm ready for my prize."

He leans closer, eyes closing

But you put a finger to his forehead and push him back

"Nope! Sorry, Saeyoung, but no more kisses until after the party~"

He gasps and makes horrified noises

"Uuuueegghhh nooo!!! 606, don't torture me like this!"

You break away from his hold and beckon for him to follow

"Come, let's go back to the kids."

As you're walking out of the tent, you feel yourself being lifted off the ground and slung over his shoulder, being carried around as Saeyoung runs through the park

You can't help but let out a cry and grip the back of his shirt, taken completely by surprise

"Saeyoung!"

You don't know whether you should be laughing or scolding him

But when you hear his laughter, your heart melts

And you laugh along with him

Your fiance's impulsive nature will never cease to surprise you or make you smile

So even though you're hanging upside down on his back

A grown woman

The party coordinator of the RFA

You're grinning like a lovesick teenager and laughing to your heart's content

"MC, huff huff, did you gain some weight?"

"Hey!" You lightly tap the back of his thigh

"It's because you keep feeding me those Honey Buddha Chips..."

"Which you LOVE." Saeyoung snickers

"Yes, I do love them."

"But you love me the most, don't you, my space princess?"

You pretend to mull it over

Saeyoung stops jogging and cranes his neck

"MC? Why are you quiet!"

"Because I might love HBC more than you, Saeyoung..."

You're giggling at his shocked reactions

Until you feel his fingers on the back of your knees

Moving up your thigh

Your eyes widen and you suck in a breath

"Saeyoung! Of course I love you more than HBC!"

In your panic, you sort of...scream that statement

And Jumin, who happens to be passing by with V, arches an eyebrow

"I should hope so, MC. You're marrying him, after all." Jumin tells you

V, walking beside Jumin taking photos of the event, laughs lightly

"Saeyoung, please put MC down." V says

Your fiance kneels and helps you to stand and you're covering your red face

Saeyoung is laughing out loud but before he can stand...

"There he is! Get him!"

You take away your hands from your face just as a bunch of children run towards Saeyoung

Your eyes widen as they let out battle cries and, unable to stop their momentum, tumble into the redhead

They fall onto the grass, Saeyoung making sure none of the kids hit their heads on the ground

"Aaaack! Noooo, MC, save me!" Saeyoung is grinning he cradles one kid in his arms, letting another kid use his arm as a pillow, while another lies on top of him, fingers forming a gun

"Pew pew pew! Psssshhh I caught the wolf who's after noona!"

Saeyoung makes choked noises

"Ohhh the tragedy! My dastardly dastard plans to eat the cute bunny has been foiled by the heroes of Seoul! Noooooooooooooo!"

V is laughing as he takes shots of the scene, and you move to stand beside him, your cheeks hurting from smiling so much

But how can you not?

Looking at Saeyoung like this, happy and carefree

Hearing his laugh, a true and sincere laugh

Your heart feels full, brimming with warmth and happiness

You swallow your tears

His happiness is your happiness

And you couldn't ask for anything more than that toothy grin, that contagious chuckle

"I've always dreamed of this day."

You turn to V, who's stopped taking photos to look down at Saeyoung, now being tickled by the children

"The day when Saeyoung can finally laugh like this." V turns to you

"He's always been the one to cheer us up in the chatroom but...I knew of the burdens in his heart. Now though..."

V looks ahead of him and grins and you follow his gaze

Saeran walks towards you, munching on the cone of his ice cream

"...now the both of them are free. Now, they can be happy."

You lay a hand on V's arm

"And you too, V. It's because of you that they're together, that they're both free. Don't forget that."

A sheepish look appears on V's face but he nods and you both watch as a scowl appears on Saeran's face the closer he gets to the tangled mess of bodies on the grass

The scowl turns to horror when he notices his brother's mischievous smile

Saeran takes a step back

Until a little girl scrambles to her feet and stands in front of Saeran, arms outstretched to her sides

"Saeran-oppa...don't worry! I won't let the bad villain take you! I'll protect you!" the girl exclaims

"Oh?! What's this! My twin brother has a heroine protecting him! Guuuuuuh I'm so jealous!"

Saeran's expression softens and he reaches out a hand to stroke the girl's hair

"Thank you...but don't let that villain near you."

"AAAAAAACK! CRITICAL HIT! My heart can't stand this! Saeran used Brotherly Love and it's super effective!"

Saeran glares at him

"That wasn't brotherly love, that was-"

"YOU'RE RIGHT! IT'S EXTREME BROTHERLY LOVE! Everyone, I won't make it...looks like you defeated...me today! But I'll come back!! Tomorroooooow...." Saeyoung drags out his voice in a comedic fade and the kids all cheer and laugh around him

Saeran shakes his head but you see a smile forming on his lips

The music around the park fades and you hear people clapping by the stage

"V, it's time for your speech." Jumin says and the two excuse themselves

Jaehee arrives with volunteers and they usher the kids to a designated area

You stand with the twins under a tree, watching V take his place in the center

"Good afternoon, everyone, and thank you for coming to this year's Children's Day Fundraising Party. The RFA is proud to host this and we're grateful for everyone who came to celebrate with us this year.

Children are the greatest gifts to mankind. In every child is a beautiful flower that's waiting to bloom and bring beauty to the world. They bring a spark to this world that we should help nurture so that one day, they will shine and make the world a brighter place."

Saeyoung puts an arm around you and pulls you closer to him, slinging another arm around Saeran's shoulders

"...it must not be an easy job, being a parent. I, myself, am not a parent but..."

V looks to where the twins are standing

"I can imagine how scary it must be to be responsible for such small yet amazing individuals. You will stumble along the way, but I suppose that's part of being a parent. Still, taking care of your children and shaping them to become the best versions of themselves that they can be is already a great accomplishment. Children, please give your parents a big round of applause and don't forget to thank them and give them a hug."

You clap along with the rest of the crowd, proud to be part of this event, this organization

You see the twins' eyes scanning the parents in the crowd, some carrying their kids on their shoulders or holding them in a hug

You can't imagine what they must have gone through when they were younger...

...but now that you've found each other, the three of you will take care of your little family

Not just that, you also have the whole RFA as your family

And you're determined to build a better future with your loved ones and bring more smiles to their faces

"Kids, cherish your parents. With each passing day, each of you will grow taller and older but the same goes for your parents. So now, enjoy every moment with them and make sure to remind them how much you love them."

Somewhere in the crowd, Jumin gives his father (who came to support his son's event and because C&R is a big sponsor) a smile and a small nod

Yoosung turns red when his mother kisses him on the cheek, but he puts an arm around his mother and leans his head on her shoulder, putting a hand on his father's shoulder

The actor, though surrounded by fans, breaks away from the crowd to go to his parents

Even though their relationship is still a little rocky, both ends are trying to make amends and reach out to each other

Worriedly, you look for Jaehee but your lips curl up when you see she has an arm around a woman's waist, laying her head on the woman's shoulder

You glance at the twins, opening your mouth to say something when a shadow looms over the three of you

Suddenly, a hand lands on each of the twin's red mops, pushing their heads down

"Ya! I've been lookin' for you two everywhere."

You snicker as Vanderwood glares the back of their heads

"Guuuuuh...it's Madam Vanderwood! Saeran, quick, on 'cheese', we'll make a run for it!"

Saeran gives his brother a glare too

"Cheese?"

Saeyoung winks at you and holds your hand, grasping Saeran's hand too

Meanwhile, Vanderwood seethes behind you

"You three have been fucking slacking! Isn't this your damn organization? I needed help handing out those damn juice boxes to the kids. Do you know how wild they get when they see some cold juices after playing soccer?"

"Ya, Saeyoung, are you still listenin-"

"CHEESE!"

You're laughing as Saeyoung propels forward at full speed, pulling you and Saeran along with him

You can hear Vanderwood cussing and then chasing after you guys

As you draw nearer to Yoosung, you see him looking at you curiously before he springs into action and runs after you guys

Zen watches Saeyoung's shenanigans and shakes his head, approaching Jaehee

He bows and offers a hand to her

"May I escort you to the stage, Jaehee?"

Jumin excuses himself as well, walking to the stage casually

V's still in the middle of his speech when he spots his beloved members making their way to him

He can't help but laugh

"To the little ones, keep dreaming and continue painting our world with your beautiful hues. You can do anything you put your mind to but if you ever feel lost and in need of help, don't forget that your parents, your family are always there for you."

Jumin puts a hand on his best friend's shoulder and smiles

Followed by Zen and a blushing Jaehee

Then a breathless Yoosung

Vanderwood stands awkwardly with the rest of the RFA, but in his eyes is a peace and happiness you've only recently began to recognize

Saeyoung pulls you closer to him and you hear Saeran scoff

Your space captain's grin only grows wider

"I love you, MC," he whispers

You're still a little breathless but you giggle

"I love you too, Saeyoung."

He leans closer and says in a low voice into your ear:

"Let's make babies when we get home."

Your face is tomato red as Saeyoung chuckles and straightens, putting an arm around Saeran again and beaming at the crowd

V takes a step forward

"From the RFA, my beloved family, to your families..."

V bows deeply to the guests and the rest of you follow suit

"Thank you and Happy Children's Day."

She could feel the vibrations of his voice as he breathed out a low hum in satisfaction. Even though he seemed relaxed enough, she could still feel how tense his muscles were under the light blue button down he was wearing. She slid her hands around his waist and held him in a soft embrace. The thundering beat of his heart reverberated through her mind as she placed her ear against his shoulder blades.

As time progressed, he relaxed into her touch. He brought a hand up to gently place it over hers. No matter what thoughts raced through the constant static of his mind, her soothing touch had always been able to bring complete silence.

After spending a few minutes enjoying each other’s company, the two separated so they could face one another. Jihyun stepped to the side so he could see how the sunlight would look for the photos. Just as he expected, the sunlight against MC’s hair, eyes, and skin were absolutely breathtaking. She was as radiant as an angel.

Jihyun watched her eyes scan the makeshift bedding he made for her. Her eyes looked concerned as she looked up to him, “Are you sure it’s fine to get paint on all of these pillows?

He smiled warmly as he looked down at the pile of miscellaneous pillows, “I am sure. The paint can easily wash off and these pillows are from the thrift store anyway. I am sure they are glad to have a second home for now.”

MC giggled lightly, “Well, as long as the pillows are fine with it.”

Jihyun chuckled along with her before picking up a russet brown leather bag that was placed at the edge of his pallet. He took out bottles of primary color body paint, a few paint brushes, and a small ceramic plate. He knelt down to organize his belongings before he turned his attention back to MC.

MC was facing away from him, her back completely bare. The only clothing she was wearing was a pair of white denim shorts she bought for him to deliberately stain. She was staring out of the window just as she had found him a few minutes ago. Without looking away from the scenery, she began to pull her hair into a messy bun so it would be out of the way while he worked.

Just looking at her back was enough for inspiration to strike regarding what scene he would create on her skin. He would paint the gleaming wildflowers the two walked through almost every day. Green. He would definitely need green. He began to meticulously mix the colors on the ceramic plate while MC laid down on her stomach beside him.

MC’s face was turned to the side so she could peer up at him to watch him work. He was always so tense, especially when he was working diligently. She knew he wanted this shoot to go perfectly purely based on his clenched jaw and furrowed brow. Once he was finished mixing colors for the time being, he looked over to MC. The harsh lines on his face evened out into a smile as he caught her staring up at him.

“Are you ready?” He lifted a paint brush to show her the pastel green paint covering the bristles.

She just nodded in response and turned her head, so it was facing forward comfortably. The first delicate stroke of the paintbrush on her lower back caused a shiver to run down her spine from the new sensation. He worked slowly against her skin, the sensation of the brush against her was causing a wave of anticipation to course through her veins.

Stop that… this is a photo shoot. Not the time for this… She closed her eyes to try and suppress the building arousal in her core. He seemed excited to take these photos when he first explained this idea to her. She remembered him telling her, “It is a day filled with my favorite things. Photography, painting, and you.” Her cheeks turned a dark shade of crimson from the thought of his words.

His steady hands did not cease working until he was done with the landscape he had created across the expanse of her back. As he suspected, splatters of paint coated her white shorts. By the time he was content with the final product, the sun had begun to set, and MC was dozing off on the multitude of pillows. Trying to remain as silent as possible, Jihyun grabbed his camera. He turned off the flash, so he did not wake MC from her slumber. The quality of the pictures would not be professional, but he couldn’t care less. These pictures would be for his sight and his sight only.

Once he had snapped a couple of pictures, he set the camera down so he could wake MC. His hands were feather light against her cheek as he tried to rouse her from her slumber. Her brows furrowed a bit until her eyes opened slowly to see him before her. A lazy smile spread across her lips as she blinked lethargically.

“Did you sleep well, sweetheart?” His tone was soft as he continued to stroke his thumb over the softness of her cheek.

“I slept amazingly.” She propped herself onto her elbows so she could face him, “Are you finished?

“Yes, I am. Are you ready to take pictures or would you like to sleep a while longer?” He noticed her voice was still husky from her afternoon nap.

She looked out of the window to see how far the sun had already lowered. “I am ready now. It would be terrible if we missed the chance at this lighting, huh?” She stood from her laying position and faced the window.

Jihyun grabbed his camera from its place on the floor and he stood as well. He was stunned by the image of her beauty against the afternoon brilliance.

She turned her head to the side so she could catch a glimpse of him, “You will have to tell me how to pose, you know.”

Jihyun cleared his throat and nodded, more to himself than her. “Take your hair down and place the strands over your left shoulder.” He began to adjust the lens as she did as he asked. Once her hair was situated he continued, “Now, turn your head to the right and look at the wall.”

He snapped a few photos then continued to give her directions on how to pose. She followed his directions as best as she could, barely speaking between poses. The air was thick with tension as the two tried to maintain a proper atmosphere for the photoshoot. MC could not stop her cheeks from flaming when she would hear him mutter to himself about her beauty.

“Brilliant,” He whispered as he took a picture of her laying on her stomach, but her head was turned so she could peer up at him with intense eyes. He could feel his desire for her building throughout the entire photoshoot. He had tried to deny his arousal while painting the landscape, but he was failing miserably. MC had always been his temptation since the moment he met her. She was his temptation while also being his saving grace.

“MC, I have an idea.” He set his camera down on the pillows so he could begin to unbutton his shirt. MC raised her eyebrows when she saw this and quickly raised to her knees. Her eyes followed his long fingers as they unbuttoned each individual button, exposing more of his skin the further down he went. The arousal that had begun to die down was now raging through her body once more.  

He slipped the shirt from his broad shoulders and he extended it to her, “Place this on your chest and face away from me.” MC began to stand up to do as she was told but was stopped by a gentle hand on her shoulder, “You can stay on your knees.”

MC felt her walls clench at the suggestion, so she silently turned around on her knees. Her body felt warm with arousal even though the sun had almost set and there was a slight breeze coming through the window.

Jihyun clenched his jaw at the sight of her gripping his shirt against her. The longer the session went on, the sultrier her eyes had gotten towards him. He could feel the front of his pants tighten against his girth.

“Turn your head to the right like before MC,” He swallowed thickly, “Close your eyes.” Her eyes slid closed at his command, slightly opening her mouth in the process. Jihyun snapped the photograph and exhaled shakily. “Perfect, MC, I think we are done.”

She lowered her arms to her sides, still holding his shirt in her hands. She turned to face him with the same alluring gaze she had worn for almost the entire session. She saw his eyes widen as he took in her appearance for what seemed like the first time. She knew that was not the case, the two had been intimate many times before but they never grew tired of the experience. He always appreciated her body like it was his one and only masterpiece; as did she.

She walked towards him slowly, dropping his shirt to the floor in the process. She could see the tension in his muscles as he stared down at her, it looked as if he was struggling with the anticipation just as much as she was. Once she was in front of him, she grabbed his hand gently to lead it to the base of her neck. The roughness of dry paint on his fingers caused a shudder to run through her body.

“Jihyun… I want you to ruin me…” Her voice came out as a strained plea to him. Her face was flushed with desire as she stared up at him with hooded eyes. That was all it took for Jihyun to succumb to temptation.

He gripped her hair in his hand as he pulled her against him in a tight embrace. He leaned his head down so he could envelop her lips in an ardent kiss. She let out a moan at the sensation of his passionate lips on hers.  Pressing her thighs together for relief, she could feel his thick member twitch against her stomach. They had shared many kisses before, but when the two were barely managing their love for the other, the kisses felt different. The kind and tentative Jihyun she had grown to love became a man who needed to express his love through carnal devotion.

Jihyun broke the kiss so he could place open mouth kisses along her jaw, down her neck, finally placing a gentle nibble on the base of her neck. He could feel her trembling in his tight embrace. A gasp left her lips when he leaned his head back to look deeply into her eyes, “Please don’t quiet yourself. I love the sounds you make when you are like this.” Without breaking eye contact, he trailed feather light fingertips from the small of her back to her breast. He squeezed her nipple between his forefinger and thumb, eliciting an even louder moan from her plump lips.

Bending down a little, he placed his forehead on her shoulder. He could feel the heat of her skin seeping into him. His hands slithered down the length of her body, leaving a trail of goosebumps on MC’s skin. Trembling against him, MC gripped his hair tightly in her fist when she felt his large hands grip the supple skin of her thighs. He lifted her up with ease and laid her on the cushions, admiring the look of her beneath him while doing so.

A sense of pride swelled within him. It brought him great joy when he was able to see MC in the state she was in now. He wanted to help her experience the overwhelming love he held for her every moment of every day. This was one of the best ways he knew how.

After he was done admiring MC, he made quick work of unbuttoning her shorts and sliding them down the length of her legs. Once he slid the shorts and underwear off, he tossed them aside. His turquoise eyes were focused on her dripping core, causing his length to strain against his now too tight jeans.

A confused look crossed MC’s face when she felt his hand wrap around her ankle but she quickly realized what he intended to do when he lifted her leg to place it on his shoulder. If she thought the room was warm before, the atmosphere was scorching now. The vulnerable position she was in made her want to cover her face from him, to shield her view from seeing the intent gaze he directed towards her soaked entrance.

“Perfect… You’re perfect.” Jihyun said this as he placed a light kiss against her ankle to show his adoration for her.

A lump formed in MC’s throat from the sudden declaration. How did he not see she felt the exact same way for him? She could see how perfect he was the first time she had met him. The first time she had messaged him even. She had been drawn to him like a hopeless moth to a flame. No matter the circumstances, he had always made her feel safe. Even when he was still broken from what life had thrown at him, he made her feel loved.

She closed her eyes to try and stop the tears from falling down her heated cheeks. Now was not the moment to be crying, if anything, she should be the one pampering him. Before she could compose herself, she felt him place her leg back onto the cushions. Two warm hands cupped her face and stroked the stray tears now fervently streaming down her cheeks.

“My love, what’s wrong?” Jihyun asked, concerned by the sudden change. Was it something he said? Did I do anything to make her uncomfortable?

“I’m sorry, Jihyun,” Her voice was thick with emotion as she opened her eyes to stare up at him, “I just … I love you so much. I don’t think I express it enough to you, but I really, really love you with every ounce of my being.”

Jihyun’s concern morphed into understanding as he watched the woman he loved more than life itself crying because she didn’t think her love shined for him enough. If only she knew how her love radiated from her with every glance she gave him and every delicate touch they shared. The tears streaming down her face caused his own emotions to rise within his chest. He took her hands in his so he could lead them to lightly touch his face. This way, she would be able to feel his own tears against her fingertips.

MC automatically began to stroke his cheeks with her thumbs as he said, “MC, you show me your love from the moment you wake until the moment you sleep. No, you even show your love in your sleep because you will call out my name in your dreams.” He breathed in a ragged breath before continuing, “You do not realize how your love saves me from my thoughts, my insecurities, my self-loathing… Your love made me realize I am worth more than how useful I am to others. Please… Please do not think for a second you are not enough because I think I am the one undeserving of you.”

“I thank whatever higher power there is for giving me the gift of your presence by my side, MC. I love you so much, I always pray we are together for all eternity because I do not think I could bear parting from you.”

Jihyun’s words stumbled from his mouth as he tried to show MC how intense his love was for her, but in doing so he began to lose his composure. The composure he always tried to keep when around MC began to crumble as the dam keeping his emotions suppressed withered away. She had seen him at his worst. She saw him when he was tattered, abused, and unable to properly love her. She waited for him. How could she ever think she did not show her love for him enough?

He was about to continue but he was silenced by the feeling of MC’s lips on his own. His wide eyes stared unblinking at her for a moment before sliding closed. The feeling of her lips against his was able to calm the roaring tide of his emotions stirring within himself. She understood what he was trying to say, she always did.

“Make love to me,” She murmured against his lips. She leaned her forehead against his as she said this, “Just as I will make love to you.”

Responding with words was unnecessary; he answered her by urgently placing his lips on hers once again. The fervent kiss between the two became desperate as MC reached down to fumble with the button of his jeans. She refused to break the kiss as she did so and smiled against his lips when she felt the jeans loosen in her grasp. With the button and zipper out of the way, she shoved his pants down just enough for her to grip his pulsing member.

Jihyun groaned into her mouth, shock waves of pleasure shooting through his veins. He was using both of his hands to keep his body weight from crushing her, or else he would have been using his deft fingers to delve deep into her essence. The kiss grew hungrier as Jihyun’s tongue darted into MC’s mouth, enjoying the feeling of his tongue against hers.

Jihyun was about to break the kiss so he could leave a trail of kisses down MC’s body. He desperately wanted to taste MC, but he was stopped by MC pulling on a handful of his hair to keep him pressed against her.

“I need you in me now, Jihyun.” How could he refuse such a request? He had always loved when MC was greedy with him. It made him feel loved. Needed.

Jihyun placed his hand over MC’s as he led his length to her inner folds. She writhed beneath him as she felt the tip of his cock flick over her clit a few times before being positioned in front of her entrance. His eyes never left her face as he slowly pushed himself into her, letting her grow accustomed to his large size before moving once again. “I love being inside of you, MC.” His voice was strained from ecstasy as he watched her arch her back from the sensations of being filled to the brim.

Her legs wrapped around his waist to pull him further into her, eliciting a hitched groan from her lips. One of her hands gripped a pillow tightly while the other was still tangled in his turquoise locks. Jihyun grunted when he felt MC’s muscles constrict around him, prompting him to begin his slow, steady rhythm.

His hands felt the dry paint on her back flaking off onto the pillows below her as he slid them underneath her to pull her body against his. His fingers dug into her skin as he felt his grip on his self-control slipping from his grasp. Sporadic pants and the sound of their bodies coming together were the only sounds heard in the now dimly lit living room.

The moonlight streaming through the window illuminated MC’s frame as Jihyun mercilessly thrusted into her drenched core. Jihyun repeated MC’s name as a mantra while he worshiped her body under the moon and stars. He slid one of his hands from the small of her back so he could reach in between their entwined bodies to circle her clit.

A startled cry ripped through her as she began to feel her walls begin to tighten even more around him, “Faster, Jihyun, faster!”

Jihyun began to plunge into her faster, more unsteady since he could already feel that he was on the edge as well. The feeling of her scorched him, making him wish she could brand her touch into his skin. His eyes flickered between her face twisted in pleasure and her breast which were bobbing up and down with every thrust he made. He wished he had more than two hands so he could pleasure her more.

“I’m so close, Jihyun, I’m so close!” She gasped out as she felt her legs trembling from the buildup of her impending orgasm.

“Come for me, MC. You look so gorgeous when you orgasm,” Jihyun grunted into her ear, her sweet cries fueling his desire even more.

MC’s nails dug into his skin as her body quivered against him, her orgasm wracking through her body. Fuck! She was so fucking wet and tight around him, he didn’t know how much longer he would last. His thrusts became sporadic as he felt her coming down from her high, already so close to his own climax.

MC could see how close he was by the labored expression on his face, so she leaned her head forward and bit the crevice of his neck gently. That was enough to push him over the edge. He called out her name as he came into her, continuing to pump into her a few times before coming to a stop.

Both of their breathing was still heavy as they stared into each other’s eyes, relishing the feeling of each other. After a few moments, Jihyun carefully slid out of her and laid on his side beside her on their makeshift palette. MC snuggled up to his side and kissed his shoulder before resting her head against it, just now registering how sweaty they were.

“I love you, Jihyun.”

“I love you, too, MC.”

As though bidden, his eyes fly open with a gasp. Before you could fully lean back and look at him, you feel his hands grabbing your arms, gripping you tightly. You let out a gasp of your own as he pushes you down on the mattress, fingers sinking into your skin. But you don't flinch, not wanting to worry him. Instead, you look into his eyes as calmly as you can, even though your heart is hurting --hurting, because the one you love is in pain.

Saeran's eyes are wide, a wild look in them. There's fear and panic and confusion in those mint orbs, a chaotic swirl of emotions. He's panting, searching your face frantically, as though he's trying to remember who you are and where he is. Despite his hold, you move your hand and let your fingers stroke his arm soothingly. Your lips part and Saeran's eyes lock onto them.

"Love, you're safe now. You're safe here...with me."

Slowly, Saeran's breathing evens out. His shoulders relax and his eyes focus on yours, his gaze softening.

"MC."

His hold on you loosens and his hands move to your face, cupping your cheeks. There's a broken look on his face as he leans down and takes your lips in his, a sadness to his kiss that you wish desperately to take from him...

Saeran sighs as he feels your arms around him, deepening the kiss. In his dreams, you were both back there...in that place. And the Sav--that woman...she had you. He thought he knew pain before, but at the mere thought of seeing you in danger, being put in a position where he can't do anything to help you...

But we are not weak.

No...no, we're not. She's here, she's with me.

She's our princess...we won't let anything happen to her.

Saeran hears you moan softly, your fingers clutching his shirt as he continues kissing you. Yes, you're here....his love, his MC. He pulls away from the kiss and presses his forehead against yours, taking deep breaths. He can feel your breath tickling his cheek as you pants softly, your cheeks tinted pink, red lips slightly parted. He gently strokes your cheek with the back of his fingers and Saeran lets out a shuddering breath.

"You're here."

"Yes. Yes, Saeran. I'm here, I'll always be here." You places your hands on his cheeks and give him a small smile. "You came back to me."

Saeran nods, tears filling his eyes.

"I'll always come back to you. You are my home now."

But his words are lodged in his throat. Your smile widens and you wipe away the tears that spill from his eyes. Saeran pulls you to him and holds you close, burying his face in your hair. Hands stroking his back, you envelop him in your arms and kiss the side of his head.

You stay like that for a while, immobile, nestled in the warmth of the other. But as Saeran's tears stop and his body relaxes, you smile at him and sit up.

"Where are you going?" Saeran's hand tightens around yours.

"Follow me, Saeran." You reach for your sweater and pull it around you, then hand him his sweater. Giving you a curious look, Saeran slips his arms into the sweater and follows you wordlessly. He doesn't let go of your hand but you have no complaints; you love the feel of his warm, slender fingers intertwined with yours.

Together, the two of you walk to the front door of the cabin. You pass Saeyoung, asleep on the couch with the glow of his laptop screen illuminating his features. Vanderwood is sitting on the couch, arms crossed, head lolling to the side. You had all decided to come here for the weekend to get some fresh air, but of course those two had stayed up late --Saeyoung, working on his latest toy design and Vanderwood, enjoying a weekend off work as Jumin's bodyguard. You press your finger to your lips and glance at Saeran and see the side of his lips twitch as his gaze lands on his older twin. Silently, you open the front door and step outside.

The cool air washes away any trace of sleep you have and you shudder. Saeran tenses when he feels the cold breeze but you tug his hand forward. He closes the door behind him and silently grabs your shoulders and faces you to him. His fingers make quick work of buttoning your sweater and you feel your heart pounding hard against your chest.

"Saeran, I'm okay," you whisper to him.

"You can't catch a cold." He mutters, before taking your hand again and pulling you forward.

From the sound of your shoes against the wooden floorboards of the porch to the soft footfalls against the grassy field in front of the cabin, you close your eyes and fill your lungs with air. You tilt your head up and when you open your eyes, the starry night sky greets you.

Saeran can't take his eyes off you. Even with tousled hair, you look beautiful. Now, bathed in the moonlight...you truly look like an angel, sent down from heaven to find him. Save him.

"You once told me that you yearned to see the sky when you were younger...Saeyoung took you to see them before, right? Well..." Your cheeks grow warm again. "I want to be that for you too, Saeran."

You squeeze his hand gently.

"I want to remind you that you're free. The sky will always be here for you now, love...just like I will."

Saeran looks up at the sky, at the twinkling stars. She's right...of course she is. His nightmares will never become a reality...because he's free now. Mint Eye is no more. He doesn't need to be Unknown or Ray or a Believer anymore...he can simply be Saeran. He no longer hates his brother. He doesn't need anyone's permission to go outside...to see the stars.

Saeran breathes in and allows himself to be lost in the moment, to be amazed at how vast the world truly is. When he was young, his world was so small, consisting of the 4 corners of their room. It was Saeyoung who broke those walls and gave him a taste of freedom --introduced him to the taste of delicious ice cream. When he was with Rika, his world grew a little...yet, he was still confined to Magenta's walls, trapped in the horrors that the elixir drowned him in.

Yes...he's been a prisoner for so long.

But now...

Now he's able to stand there and appreciate the stars scattered across the night sky.

Saeran squeezes your hand too, eyes still fixed on the heavens.

"Look, my love," he says in a soft voice. "Look how dark the sky is. It's so big, it feels scary."

Saeran trails off and you turn to look at him, not saying a word. After a while, Saeran speaks once more.

"I...I've never been in a world that wide...a world so big I'd get lost in it. Before this, I was all alone in the darkness. Or I thought I was. I...It was scary in that darkness.  That is, until you came. When you came to me, it was as though a star appeared before me, an angel. You brought light with you, my love, a light that I didn't--I don't want to turn away from, ever.

You freed me, MC. You freed me from that darkness and now, now that I'm looking at this dark sky, I can't help but think...this darkness is different. Because the darkness is surrounded by plenty of stars.

The dark isn't so scary when I have my star with me." He turns to you and a small smiles comes to his lips. "My nightmares are chased away by your radiance, my love. So please, stay by my side forever."

You feel your throat closing up at his words and you don't realize that you're nodding your head, a grin split across your face. "Saeran, of course. There's nowhere else I want to be but here by your side." Closing the small distance, you step to the one you love and throw your arms around his waist, placing your head on his chest. "I love you, I love everything about you. All of us...we each have a dark sky within us. But you're right --if we have our stars with us, then that darkness will become beautiful like the night sky. Because only when the light has gone can stars truly shine."

Saeran's smile broadens and he turns your face to him. "Never stop casting your glow over me, MC."

"Saeran...keep shining for me too, okay?" You touch his cheek and feel his arms wrapping around your waist. He lets out a light laugh.

"It's because of you that I am able to shine again...It's because of you...that now, my sky is endless." Saeran leans in close, lips merely inches away from yours.

"I love you."

From the window, Saeyoung watches you both. He chuckles softly to himself before letting the curtain fall back over the window. He takes out his phone and swipes through the screens, finding what he was looking for. He finally cracked the code for the reset --he finally did it. With one push of a button, he can restart the game...or delete the reset button. Once and for all.

The choice is easy, isn't it?

He grins and presses his finger against the screen.

I’ve always loved Saeran but was nervous to write fics for him because maybe he’s a little relatable. No, I wasn’t drugged by a madwoman and I didn’t start texting a random girl and lure her into the apartment of said madwoman haha. But I think all of us are a little broken inside --maybe all of us have a little bit of Saeran within us. So I hope you guys find the one who’ll shine a light for you in times of darkness :)

However, the longer Zen inspected the apartment, he began to notice some aspects that would need to change when MC arrived. Has his place always been this messy? There were empty beer cans laying on the ground along with sheet mask wrappers from the nights before. Were those crumbs on the carpet always there when MC stayed over? Dust was on almost every surface, especially on his dinosaur of a computer. Would he finally be able to get rid of his outdated computer? MC had jokingly mentioned that she would be bringing her PC with her to replace Zen’s relic of a computer. He pouted playfully at the time but was secretly relieved because damn the thing was terribly slow. 

A rising feeling of urgency began to rush through him. Did he expect his jagiya to come live in this? This environment was no place for MC! MC deserved to arrive to a spotless apartment to create her new home with him. He called her his princess on a daily basis, but this new palace is definitely not worthy of her. As he pondered the thought longer, he came to wonder how in the hell MC dealt with this constantly cluttered space. He could use his busy lifestyle as an excuse, but MC was just as busy as he was and still managed to keep her apartment decent at least. 

Zen sprung to his feet in a slight panic as he realized just how little time he had to clean the apartment before her early morning arrival. If he worked efficiently and effectively, he could manage to make the apartment bearable. This meant Zen could not afford to find items he thought were lost and stand around to reminisce about them. He threw his ivory hair into a ponytail as he began to make a mental list of what to focus on first.

Thus, began the long evening of Zen’s cleaning journey. His journey consisted of and is not limited to: 

Making a valiant effort to avoid nostalgia but failing miserably every time he would find a lost photo or ticket stub 

Wondering how one man could consume so much beer in a short amount of time

Quickly throwing out cigarette boxes found in mysterious places

Being amazed at how much of his and MC’s hair was found lying around 

Throwing out all of his sauces because they were expired

Hastily washing, drying, and folding laundry 

Putting the dinosaur computer out of its misery 

Creating a coin jar for all of the loose change he found

Cursing Yoosung for the amount of potato chip bags and crumbs under the cushion of the couch

Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in a near sprint

Tripping over the vacuum cord multiple times 

The bathroom

By the time Zen considered his cleaning activities dealt with, he collapsed into clean bedsheets at 5:00 AM. He was startled awake by a loud knock on his apartment door. The sudden, loud noise caused him to jolt out of bed with a loud curse. “Hyun? Are you awake?” The familiar voice soothed the panic in Zen’s chest. It was his MC at the door, waiting to be let in one last time before she had a key of her very own. Just the thought of it brought a lopsided smile to Zen’s face. “Give me a moment, jagiya!” He had his teeth brushed, deodorant on, and a baseball cap on his head in record time before he greeted his jagiya. He laughed lightly when he heard the light pings of a mobile rhythm game MC had played around him a good bit. When he opened the door, he reveled in the sight of her angelic face scrunched up in determination. “Now you give me a moment, “She muttered in sheer concentration, “I’m about to beat this level.” He leaned against the doorway as he watched her. She looked ready to put in some work based on the outfit she chose for the day. Her hair was thrown under a baseball cap, an old paint stained T-shirt he’d seen her take naps in, and a pair of his old grey sweatpants she took from him early in their relationship had never looked so beautiful on her. MC let out a soft “yes” in victory then quickly put her phone in her pocket. Her eyes looked joyous when she lifted her head to speak with him, but they quickly turned concerned when she saw the dark circles under Zen’s eyes. “Zenny, did you get any sleep last night?” She brought her hand up to softly cup his cheek, “You look exhausted.” Zen was caught up peering deeply into the depths of her warm eyes before giving MC a sheepish smile, “I was too excited to sleep.” That was not a lie. He just didn’t want to tell her he spent the entire night frantically cleaning. Her face was slightly flushed in worry, but all of the cleaning he had done the night before was all worth it. Her being happy and comfortable was what mattered most to him. Losing a few hours of sleep was a small price to pay.

His eyes roamed over her face to memorize exactly how she looked before him. This was an important milestone for the two of them, he wanted to make sure he captured the moment. Maybe they could take a picture as a memento if she was not too tired after this.

Over the course of their relationship, Zen wondered if she could get anymore beautiful with each passing day. Today was not an exception. Her face was bare, probably because she knew she would be sweating during the day. She had always been self-conscious without make up, but he could not understand why. She was stunning regardless. He had always told her he would find his jagiya gorgeous whether she wore makeup or not. She looked at him with a glowering expression before standing on her tiptoes to give him a quick peck on the lips. The feeling of her soft lips caused him to lose his train of thought for a moment, so much so, he missed the bill of her baseball cap forcing his own to fall off of his head. She giggled as she leaned back to see his bed head. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do that.” The timbre of her voice was playful as she picked up his hat for him. She handed it back with a content sigh. The look on her face was one he recognized from their time together. This relaxed expression was what she wore when she was curled up on the couch reading her favorite book with a lit candle on the nightstand beside her. This expression meant she felt comfortable. At home. 

He took the hat from her gently and placed it back on his head. A newfound energy was flowing through him as he looked down at her serene, beautiful face. He was ready to experience the scenarios he had imagined of her making a place in his home and it looked like she was too. “You ready to start our little adventure, jagiya?” He held out his hand to her as he pushed himself from the doorframe. She took his hand in hers and squeezed it lightly, almost in an unspoken promise. “I’ve been looking forward to this for months, Hyun.” 

Hearing his name from her lips filled his chest with pride as he began to lead them down the hallway. “Then let’s make it happen, jagiya.” 

With the combined determination of the couple, they were able to move all of her belongings into the apartment by late afternoon. Zen made a point to carry as many boxes as he could to show MC how strong her prince is. He also didn’t want her to overexert herself; his princess deserved to be taken care of. 

Now thoroughly exhausted, Zen sat on the couch as he watched MC unpack her belongings while humming to herself. Little trinkets she had collected over the years were piling up on Zen’s coffee table as she organized them by which room they would be in. She looked as if she was already at home. The domestic aura was enough for him to let his mind wander towards the future. Is this what having a family meant?

MC had always had this effect on him, no matter where they were or what they were doing. He didn’t feel the constant need to defend and fight for the right to be loved as he did when he lived with his parents. Since the beginning, MC had always supported Zen and made him feel valued. Hell, after one week she had made him feel more loved than he had ever felt in his life.

This milestone felt like a second chance at finding and building his own family with her. 

He was pulled from his thoughts when MC plopped on the couch beside him, pulled her legs underneath her, and leaned into his side. She rested her head on his shoulder as he immediately placed his arm around her. 

“Did you clean the apartment for me, Hyun?” Her voice was laced with appreciation as she lifted her head slightly so she could study his face. 

His cheeks flushed slightly in embarrassment as he pulled her closer to him. “Well of course, jagiya, my princess deserves the absolute best.” She kissed his cheek before nestling her head back on his shoulder. “It looks wonderful, Hyun. Thank you.” He felt her relax into his side as she looked around the apartment herself. There were still many boxes that needed to be unpacked and almost all of the rooms needed to be rearranged, but they both knew it would all be worth it in the end. 

She took his hand in hers and began to idly stroke the inside of his palm. The feeling of her fingers grazing against his skin brought him a sense of peace. He made a soft noise of approval and placed a small kiss on the top of her head. This was exactly what Zen imagined every day since the two had started dating. Just the two of them enjoying each other’s presence, not thinking of when one would have to leave the other.
