It took Miyasaka a few moments to realize that he was the one being called to, and when he turned to see who had shouted, he didn’t recognize who it was. Some weird kid he’d never seen before, and he didn’t recognize the uniform, either. Either way, Miyasaka waved back, and shouted, “Yeah! Just a sec!” The ball (a soccer ball, of course) was only a few inches away from him, and Miyasaka pulled his leg back and kicked it with all the strength sprinting had given him. The ball sailed in a high arc, and…yeah, he’d definitely overshot. “Sorry!” he called, and the ball still hadn’t landed yet, he could get to where it’d land before it did— “I can get that for you!” He shot off at top speed, rushing past the boy he didn’t recognize, and caught the ball. Showing off like that wasn’t really something he was supposed to do, but where soccer was involved, well… Miyasaka walked over to the boy and handed the ball to him. “Eheheh, I guess I should have done this instead the first time. Sorry about that!”

I watch as the other, who's gender I still assumed was female, did a really powerful kick, which sent the ball flying over and right past me. At first I was just a bit annoyed, but then I realized how much of a powerful kicker this person was to be able to hit it like that. Was "she" maybe some sort of soccer player "herself"? Whatever the case I was even more shocked when they dashed for the ball they kicked, and actually managed to reach it in time before it hit the ground. That was some serious speed, and it had to come to the conclusion the person was definitely skilled at soccer.
