"Are we sure we should be doing this?" Fluttershy asked quietly, trailing behind as if she was considering turning around and running back to class. The corridors were empty, and it was about 1 PM in the afternoon.
"Relax, we have, like, perfect attendance records so far cause Sunset and Twi keep dragging us to every class! We can afford to play hooky!" Rainbow replied, rolling her eyes. "Those eggheads."
"Besides, Rarity did ask for me to model and give my feedback for her new party range!" Pinkie added. "She's been taking a few days off for next week's fashion event at the city centre."
"Oh, that's what you're gonna do?" Rainbow asked. "I thought we could go over to Applejack's garage and look over the new Rainbooms song, I feel like it needs some modifications. We could use our drummer and lyricist."
"Oh…" Fluttershy trailed off. "I thought I could go over to that new pet shelter they've opened. There's just so many little animals that aren't getting adopted and could use a friendly face."
Pinkie looked aghast. "So you're all doing… different fun things? Aw man, don't make me pick one!"
"I guess," Rainbow replied. "You're free to join me. Or Rarity. Or Flutters. Or go back to boring science and math lessons with Sunset and Twilight."
"Where's Applejack?" Fluttershy asked.
"Camp Everfree asked for her help on some of its new trees so she's now an 'official student ambassador' I guess," Rainbow replied, before looking at Pinkie. "At least that's an option you don't have to consider."
"B-but still!" Pinkie replied, flailing her arms. "There's too many options! Unless I duplicate myself several times using an ancient magic mirror pool, there's no way I can do everything all of you are doing!"
"That's… oddly specific," Fluttershy started, but one of the classroom doors swung open.
"Are you 3 running late?" asked Vice Principal Luna, coming out from one of the lecture halls, raising a brow. "That better be what you're doing, instead of skipping your classes."
The three of them looked at one another with defeated looks.
"Back to class, team," Rainbow sighed.
