very short one today, this is like,,, an interlude between chapters i guess, let's call it part 3.5

posting this mostly to ramble about the amalgamation of thoughts that make up this eldritch AU:

And then there's a bit right at the end of the story as the wife and the husband are walking out of court:

Jill turned abruptly. "What is your name? Your real name."

The man's gray eyes flickered. He smiled a little, kind, gentle smile. "I'm afraid you would not be able to pronounce it. The sounds cannot be formed..."

Jill was silent as they walked along, deep in thought. The city lights were coming on all around them. Bright yellow spots in the gloom. "What are you thinking?" the man asked.

"I was thinking perhaps I will still call you Lester," Jill said. "If you don't mind."

"I don't mind," the man said. He put his arm around her, drawing her close to him. He gazed down tenderly as they walked through the thickening darkness, between the yellow candles of light that marked the way. "Anything you wish. Whatever will make you happy."

And I. God. There's something there. A soupcon of monsterfuckery. To tell your partner in a moment of intimacy that yes, you're something so inhuman that the lips you're stealing can't speak your actual name. You're a parasite that not only had the ability to burrow under this man's skin and take over his life, but you were so desperate to escape a dead, dry, blasted planet that you did.

A bunch of sketches I decided I liked them enough to clean up with a bit of colour. I couldn't decide which one I liked with my Simon and the Blood Eel fusion with or without the Last Seed added ouo

Bit of headcanon, if any of you noticed, some new shirts I've added throughout the arts, I think Simon was raised to not waste anything if possible so one of the things he was taught was how to patch clothes/tailor/ repurpose materials. Except, now in Erid, Simon has more freedom to be a bit creative while mending clothes.

Whoever came up with this crossover, you are all big brained and love this crossover!!

This is my take on them meeting owo. After the events of Iron Lung, Simon gets isekai'ed and lands on Erid where he is discovered by Grace and Rocky.

I'll have a more clear design of Simon later, but he has some mutation on his body and ability to now regenerate his body parts (with some monstrous side effects/symptoms).

Rocky and Adrian bringing their younger set of pebble children to visit their weird fleshy uncles!

I personally imagine both Ryland and Simon take a while to adjust and be comfortable with physical touch, despite both being touch starved as well (thanks to trauma ;u;). So this would take place well after the long burn of slowly and naturally allowing themselves to feel safe and secure with each other to close that space. It's hard for them to trust anyone again, but I like to believe they choose to trust each other in the end.
