If you look at the way that 206 delved into Kentaro's character as a whole but in particular, that scene with May, it actually speaks volumes about where he's at that he thinks the only possible reason May would come to check on him after the death of his father is because Cate doesn't want her. He can't fathom that she was actually worried about him, that she wanted to make sure he was okay and that he was actually the first person she wanted to check on. Like, there had to be another reason for her to do all of that in his eyes and it's a reason that conveniently positions Cate as the first choice and Kentaro as "the spare".

Unpopular Opinion but, Shaw is the one to blame for this whole Titan X mess. Yes, Cate is the one who pressed the button and actually opened the rift and released her but, Shaw is the one who blew up that building full of people knowing there was a rift there and what would happen and didn't even tell anyone to evacuate first so they weren't in any danger before it opened leading May, Cate & Shaw getting trapped in Axis Mundi. Cate has PTSD from not being able to save those school children, of course she was going to do whatever it takes to say someone else if she can but, Shaw's actions are what lead to all of this happening in the first place.

I've seen a lot of people say it's unrealistic or ridiculous for Billy to have abandoned Hiroshi solely because he found out Keiko/Lee cheated and that there must be something more to it but, I don't know, I think it does make sense in the context of what we've seen so far of the 1962 timeline. Assuming the 1962 flashback in 2x03 is set after the one from 1x09, it would heavily imply that Billy listened to Puck and got his act together in order to make sure that Hiroshi didn't lose his father as well as his mother and uncle. He also looks to be in a better physical and mental state in that one scene in 2x03 than he was in 1x09. I mean, we saw how he was immediately after losing Lee. He was a mess. He was barely holding it together so it's not unreasonable to assume that reading that letter could've actually pushed him over the edge.

Given the level of parallel storytelling in MLOM, It honestly feels like such a really weird choice *to me* to have Cate as the one to connect with Titan X and be the one who Titan X introduces her egg to and who is trying to help her get her egg back when, Keiko is a mother who literally just a few days earlier watched her child die in front of her because of what Apex did to Titan X was right there. Storytelling wise, it just would've made so much more sense *to me* for Keiko to be the one in this position instead of Cate. If they were going to centre Cate, Titan X should have been a young Titan, one who was lost and trying to get back home rather than a mother as it would have made more sense with how protective Cate became, especially as the first half of the season emphasised her guilt and her PTSD over not being able to save all of the children on the bus and it was running into that mother & child, one of the children from the bus that she did save that incentivised her into going back to help with Titan X and going to the extreme to do so.

This is probably going to be a very unpopular opinion but, I think a big part of the issue with Bill, Keiko & Lee and how people feel about them after the latest episode stems from the fact that a lot of people within the fandom interpreted their relationship, their interactions, their love for one another and their comments about one another solely on a romantic level, it was only ever viewed as something romantic between the three of them when in reality, I think it has always been a combination of family, friendship and romance.
