■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
"Damn it!" You cursed to yourself as you got killed for the umpteenth time due to your shitty team.
"Sucks to be you," your friend joked as they watched you play, unable to play themselves due to the game being not their style. You two were in a call, with you sharing your screen, "They fucking left me," you exclaimed, lightly dropping the phone down on the desk, pinching the bridge of your nose.
Sighing to yourself, you continued to play. Not that you could do anything, no use crying over spilled milk, or in this case, no use bitching over shitty teammates.
■■■
"Fuck them all..." you hear yourself sighing over as the 'Victory' sign appears before your screen. Despite the hell of a teammates you gained, you all still managed to win.
Of course, with you becoming the MVP. There goes another streak for your win streak.
"Alright..." you sighed again, "I'm going to let out some steam..." you excused yourself, saying goodbye to your friend before ending the call. Your friend knew what you meant by what you said, you had a hobby of playing the violin if you ever feel like you needed to let out some emotions or to ease yourself.
These would be one of those hours where you would stand in the middle of your room and just play. No planned out tunes or any music note papers to read from, just music that came from whatever your hands decide to.
So, without even closing the game, you put your phone down and got up to reach your violin. You propped the intrument over your shoulder and hovered the bow over the strings. You took a long and deep breath before started to play.
The rhythm of your violin echoed through your room as you play. Some notes ascends slowly, some descends, and also some came in quickly, and some slowly. There were no pattern nor thinking, you played whatever your hands decides to, how which note would come next. Yet somehow, somehow, your subconscious music turned into a symphony, as if you've planned it all along instead.
You didn't even realise how long you've been playing until your phone buzzed that familiar reminder. Did you really play that long? Oh well, you shrugged it off before placing the violin back onto its stand.
Picking up your phone, you didn't realise this entire time it was still on the game, propped on the character index, specifically on your main's index, Granger.
A fellow violinist whose symphonies are bound on his kills, the summary only pulled you to him and now often use him that other characters you owned. He was also the fastest character you have to have the mastery logo, you became that touched with the mysterious man.
Scoffing to yourself for leaving your phone like that for the whole time, you closed the game and charged your phone before heading out of your room to prepare food and head to bed.
■■■
Eating your food, you thought about the music you just played before sighing to yourself. You really don't have better ways to make up your time.
Finishing up, you headed to the bathroom to have a short shower. As you bathe, you hummed to yourself the very same symphony you just did earlier. Somehow, that specific play of yours stuck around in your head.
You did wonder why. Well, that is until you heard something else.
A faint sound of a violin, it wasn't that loud, but it was there, faintly playing in your home.
You slowly yet quickly got out of the bath and wore the clothes you brought inside the bathroom before silently walking out.
You slowly crept around your house as you listen to the faint sound of the violin, did someone intruded your home just so they could use your damn violin? You hoped not of 2 damn reasons, one of which was because of intrusion.
Shaking your head to get rid of any bad thoughts, you continued to creep around your home until you eventually got the sound of the violin coming from your room.
Well, fuck, someone was probably using your violin now, huh? Cursing, you paused for a moment. As you think about it, the sound of the violin, the tune, the symphony, it almost sounded solemn, as if awaiting for death, if not the bringer.
It half-ly reminded you of your favorite man.
As you realised your thoughts, you immediately pinched and slapped yourself. You shouldn't be thinking of stuff like this in such a situation. There's a possible intruder in your home.
It was then, the music stopped. No sound came after, no thud or anything. Just silence.
You then faced the door of your room, mind a storm as you think whether to barge in the potential intruder without anything to attack nor fight with.
Getting better than your own judgement, you went in.
Turning the knob, you went in.
Only to be greeted by nothing, well, not literally by nothing.
Looking around your room, nothing much was touched. Keyword, much as you noticed hastily placed the violin was. It was placed on its side, leaning on its stand like it was gently lowered down by someone that wasn't you. The bow, meanwhile, was placed beside your phone. Your phone that was lit up before dying off a second later.
Okay, what the fuck?
■■■
"What the fuck is going on with my damn house?!" You exclaimed, more to yourself as your gaze moved back and forth from your phone and to your violin.
Someone was definitely using your instrument but was nowhere in sight just as you approached your room.
Is there a ghost in your home? That can't be.
You then lightly slapped your cheeks, no, no way there's damn ghosts. But nothing could explain what just happened that second. Who and how did your violin start playing, and, god forbid, left your phone opened?
"I'm seriously going insane because of this... I need to sleep..." Yeah, sleep. That's probably what you need at the moment after that chaos of an event.
Patting your bed a few times, you gradually let out a few sighs, thinking of any possible reasons or happenings that lead to the outcome that just occurred, but only came out with a lot more questions than answers.
In the end, you decided to just leave it at that. Nothing was stolen. Whoever did it was kind enough to place the instrument down carefully, and that's that.
Slowly closing your eyes, you noticed in the corner of your eye a silhouette. A silhouette of a man.
However, you were on the brink of unconsciousness to do anything but close your eyes.
You vaguely feel a hand press against your forehead, one that is covered by something closely resembling that of bandages.
■■■
As you awoke, your eyes immediately widened. Any ounce of sleep disappeared out of your body like a bubble as you realised the last few seconds of last nigjt before falling asleep.
Who the fuck was that?!?
Your entire inner monologue is entirely focused on what you could vaguely remember.
A silhouette of a man.
Bandaged hand touching your forehead as if pushing a strand of hair away from your face.
"Now, what the fuck..." you uttered what you thought process was.
What the actual fuck?
■■■
"Now, I gotta tell you I fucking saw and felt it!" You exclaimed to your friend who called you that time of the day.
"Are you sure it wasn't exhaustion and lack of sleep getting to you? No fucking way someone broke into your house..." your friend replied, not making any sense of your story of what had happened. "I mean, using your violin then safely putting it back before disappearing and reappearing again to caress your forehead? I'm sorry, but that doesn't make any sense... It sounded like something out of a damn story," your friend joked only for you to reply with a groan, now speculating that it might actually exhaustion getting you to hallucinate shit.
"Yeah... Now that I think about it... It might just be exhaustion..." you replied, placing a hand over the area you still vaguely feel the hand at. Your friend hummed in return, "Alright, now... I know it might be a little too early, but can we play a match? I recently got the game to try it out!" Your friend asked. You smiled in return, "Alright, let's play one match before going in our crazy days..." you said, opening the game already.
Though, you still kept a feeling about that occurrence.
■■■
"... Hey... Wasn't that...?" Your friend said, calling your name as you two paused in your games as the two of you saw and listened to your main's recall animation.
As the two of you finished the match, both of you decided to go to the custom match for your friend to try out characters and stuff.
As both of you went on this, the topic then manage to get to the recently revamped characters and their recall animations, things that older players didn't have.
It ended with both of you watching each character's recall animation before landing on your main, Granger.
That's when things took a turn as the two of you watched his recall animation. Granger's animation consisted of him playing a short tune on his instrument/weapon. You've heard of it more than many times as you main him, but one thing's for certain.
It does not sound like that. Not sound like the tunes you play every time you decided to calm yourself through your instrument
Your friend called your name again, it was then you answered back, "Yeah... I hear you... And I heard that as well... " you replied, rewatching his recall animation once again to listen to the tune. It was different every time, but every tune has that distinct tone that you always use on your own violin.
"Those aren't regular, is it?" Your friend asked, noticing your silence. You shook your head, although, your friend wouldn't be able to see it, "No... that's the tunes I do..." you said, remembering what just happened the previous night.
"What the fuck..." now, it was your friend's turn to curse, "Close the game- What the fuck!?" Your friend exclaimed as they exit the game as you did as well, closing and making sure it wasn't running in the background.
"Does this means...?" You started, earning an interruption from your friend, "That with what we saw and what you said happened to you last night?! Yeah, this ain't no fucking coincidence," your friend had said. It was a surprise how quickly they decided to accept what had happened when hours before, they excused it as hallucination from exhaustion. Your friend was quicker than you are as you still tried to grasp the sudden occurrence yet again.
"Dude, he fucking knows you..." your friend said. You could hear your friend having their hands on their mouth at the revelation. "It's just a game... Right?" You said, trying to think otherwise.
It's not anymore. It's more than just a game now...
■■■
"So... When are ya' try it out?" Your friend asked you as they elbow you on the side. It has been days since what had happened, and the two of you pretended that your didn't just realised something. Both of you still play the game, but not to the point anything would be given out. Still, you still couldn't keep to yourself how much you gush about Granger, though. To which, led you to an idea that may cause you to be called insane by anyone else but your friend.
"It's stupid... This sounds like something from a damn story..." you groaned, running your hands along your face, "Oh, like those isekai stories... How cool would that be, though," your friend replied, imagining what would happen. You, in reply, playfully punched their arm, "Not helping!" You exclaimed, earning a laugh from them.
"But, who knows! Maybe it will work, maybe it won't, what more can you lose?" Your friend said, encouraging you to go with your idea.
"I can loose my dignity, that's what," you replied grumbly, earning more tease and pushing from your friend.
But maybe, just maybe, it might work. After all, what is there for you to loose other than embarrassment?
■■■
Later that day, you decided to try it out.
Standing in the middle of your room, violin in hand, you planned out what you could possibly play for him.
Your plan, or idea, consisted of playing a tune with your violin like before, but this time, you purposely place your phone down, tilting towards you with Granger on the screen as if watching you. With it, it could either go in two ways. Either he answers back in his own way, albeit through his own music, or do nothing and throw yourself into a pit of embarrassment.
Now, staring at your phone, violin propped in your shoulder, you huffed, "Don't fuck this up now... I know you know..." you muttered, not knowing whether it could be heard by anyone.
Taking a deep breath, you then started to play the violin.
Slow yet smooth tunes started from your held instrument, like before, no note was planned, just let yourself play whatever your hands want.
As you play, you slowly started to sway along the music. Slow and steady, step-by-step as your body swayed through your own music.
Then suddenly, it happened. The reason you chose to do this idea of yours.
There it was, a secondary violinist, slow and solemn, playing and matching your own play as if it has been playing with you for so long.
Focusing your sight, you watched as the man in your screen play his own instrument, following you along with your tunes. His body swayed from side to side in a slow and beautiful manner as he played.
Meanwhile, you said nothing and replied back through your violin, playing along with a similar tune to that of what he played that night with your instrument. Awaiting, bringing, descending, you played as if dueting his own. A smile appears in your features.
■■■
"You're a good one," a voice cuts the line of silence seconds after you dropped the finishing tune of your music.
You almost dropped your violin at the sound, you forgot about the damn reason you did this.
Staring at the screen of your phone, you watched as he placed his violin down before looking directly at you.
"You're pretty good yourself," you bluntly replied as if you weren't just talking directly to a character in your screen. Granger let out a hum in return.
Another silence went between the two of you before you thought of something.
"That night... When I was about to fall asleep, I saw someone..." you started, placing your violin down and sat down in front of your phone.
"That was you was it?" You asked him, recalling the silhouette and the hand.
There was a hum that came from your phone before it ultimately shutted down. Confused, you opened your phone again, but the game was nowhere to be found, like it has closed on his own.
You were about to speak out, possibly think about what just happened, until you felt a pair of hands, just like the bandaged hand from before, place themselves in front of your eyes, covering them.
"Guess who?" A low voice spoke out right beside you.
》 Archiver's Notes: Yes, another self-aware, character breaking from device entry. Nothing's stopping me. Also, got myself back into Mobile legends, and yes, I'm a granger main. Proud to be one even before the revamp.
Hihi! I see you write for mlbb, and I really enjoy your writing! Keep the work up! There’s not a bunch of x reader in this fandom… gulps…
May I request aamon/granger with a fem/gn! reader that self harms? How would they react and go about it? Thank you! :D Take your time and don’t be pressured to fulfil this request.
granger x gn!reader who sh hcs
kurov's notes: i'm sorry for the wait! i've had to block away a bit of time to trying to pin down granger's personality... a lot of montoon's characters fall into the "cold serious" type so i spent a while trying to give granger a bit of spice that differentiates him from how i've already characterized aamon! and thank you, anon!!
masterlist introduction
Granger:
Granger doesn't notice the scars, but he does sense something amiss about your behavior. Like how you wear long sleeves even in hot weather, or how you flinch when someone tries to reach for your wrist.
At first, he brushes it off as mere coincidences. But as more and more observations pile up, it starts to form a picture that he doesn't want to believe.
He doesn't confront you, always one to hate forcing conversations before the other is ready. Instead, he tries to make himself more available.
Granger stops accepting as many demon hunts as he once used to, making sure to return home at least once every 2 weeks. He chooses to sit beside you in silence instead of disappearing into his room like he usually does, and only going to sleep after he makes sure that you slept first.
The first time he finds fresh injuries, Granger's expression hardly changes. If you were an outsider, you would have missed the way his brows tightened or how his lips were pressed into a thin line.
He kneels beside you without a word, instead choosing to gently reach for your hand, giving you every opportunity to pull away if you're uncomfortable.
When you don't, he begins to quietly clean and treat your wounds, dressing them in a way much gentler than he usually does to himself.
In all honesty, Granger isn't sure what to do. He remembers how he used to push his body to hunt demons to silence the ringing in his ears, if only temporarily. If hurting yourself serves the same purpose for you, then he understands the logic, even if he hates what it's costing you.
That's why, he never asks you to stop or verbally disapproves of your practices. You can tell that he doesn't like it, but he also doesn't want the darker alternative to come true.
Granger will never call you selfish, weak, or attention-seeking. Those words would never even cross his mind. If anything, he blames himself for not recognizing it sooner.
He's also one of the few people who won't immediately bombard you with promises that everything will get better. Empty reassurance has never comforted him, so he refuses to insult your intelligence by offering it to you. Instead, he tells you something far simpler.
"You don't have to convince me that you're in pain."
"If you ever need someone to talk to, or a shoulder to cry on, just ask me. I would love to be able to help you."
"No matter if you get better or worse, I'll always stay by your side."
the keeper's notes: Once again, thank you for the request. The original was planned to include Aamon as well, but due to time restraints we unfortunately have decided to focus on Granger. I hope that whoever reads this finds comfort in the words, however small. I may have projected a tiny bit onto Granger after all, and the dialogue is something I truly wish to have said. 🦋

Hellooo, okay imagine Granger just got home and randomly get clingy to the reader?, WHY DO I SUDDENLY HAVE BUTTERFLIES
ohoho~
Granger loves physical touch but is too shy to give it, he loves how warm you touch against his skin and loves the feeling that comes with it.
Everyone occasionally have bad days and sometimes embracing one and another can fix this bad day of yours. So imagine after a rough and tiring day, when he finally comes to home wanting nothing more than to embrace you and bask in your presence as his ears cry to hear your voice.
Imagine him coming straight towards you, without bothering with his personal needs first, not when his eyes are seeing only you. His arms tightly hugging your form before grunting softly as his takes a step back only to unbutton his jacket to feel more of you. Just pure need for skin to skin contact. He knows only then he will truly feel relaxed.
It's like, this is a different Granger. Not the shy and introverted one. But a one who's bold enough to embrace you this shamelessly and press butterfly kisses onto your skin. His deep yet emotional voice as he hums against your neck with his eyes closed, he takes a deep breath of your scent.
I will be updating this post everytime when I think of a new headcanon!
Please don't forget these are my headcanon's, not everything is from the canon story.
Thank you for understanding! 🌷
Since with the new revamp Granger now wears bandages that even covers half of his face, so I think that he has scars on his face, he fights with demons all the time so I really think that he's body is all covered with scars, really big ones that starts from his chest till his neck/mouth maybe.
I think that Granger makes his melodies sound terrifying/scary for people on purpose when he does, if you hear his music, it's a sign for you to run when you can because there's demons around, that's why Granger is there.
Granger sure does know that Moniyan Empire is not good and he does know the actual truth about the Monastery of Light, he can see the reality in Moniyan's army, but he ignores it, that's the bad side about him.
He just wants to do his job, nothing else, he doesn't cares about the fact that Moniyan is going down hill, he doesn't talks with anyone, he doesn't wants to, he surely never thought seriously about politics.
You know that Alucard is such a rebel, he hates Moniyan and their acts, he doesn't wants to serve that cursed army, country, people that took everything from him, people that lied to him, Granger is the opposite of Alucard, this is how I can explain it.
Granger kinda acts blind towards to the political issues in the Moniyan Empire, unlike Alucard.
-I don't think he hates people, he's just picky. I bet he loves his teammates, cares for them a lot too but he's not really chatty.
-It would be awkward when you talk with him, you have to start the conversation or else I don't think he's gonna be so interested if you're not so close with him.
-It feels like his place would be simple, too simple also very clean and doesn't smell like anything even tho he's a hunter and he always smells like bullets, sweat and blood mixed together, I think it's because...that men never comes home, he's always doing his job, even at night, of course his place is not gonna smell like him cause he's not even there...
-He likes Harith a lot, he likes how Harith is very mature and can take big responsibilities even tho he's a teenager but also feels bad about the fact that he has to go through all this, so very shockingly he acts very nice to Harith and shows his kind side. (very shocking for everybody tbh)
-I think he did heard of Xavier, they both were in the Monastery of Light, maybe they did meet? or didn't? or maybe Granger just doesn't cares, but still I think Granger would remember Xavier once he sees him, but I don't think Granger likes Xavier, they're not the birds of the same feather.
and also about this, I think these three (Alucard, Xavier and Granger) knows each other very well actually, but now their missions are different also their lives.
He talks with Alucard a lot for sure, they both were in the same places all the time, Alucard can approach him easily.
Granger's interest's;
-I think Granger is very religious, very religious, kinda catholic, but not in a toxic way, he would never judge or tell you what to do, cause he doesn't cares, as always.
-I don't think that he's that interesting at the first place, he only does his job and plays violin, to be honest he has no time for anything else than this two.
-If you talk with him about religion, I bet he knows a lot.
-He has no time for anything because of his job. (yeah I know I keep saying this one all the time, this is the headcanon, bye)
Thank you for reading this far! like I said, I will be updating this post everytime when a new headcanon comes to my mind!
take care of yourself! 🌷
