Alex: Mom, I have a question.
Alex: And I know that you're going to say "yes, Ellie is supposed to do that" before I ask the question but I want to ask anyway.
Alex: Wait...sorry you're definitely not my mom.

Riley hardly moved by car whenever she was supposed to meet people at night. Weirdly, she felt safer if she walked. In her vehicle, she was more of a target for unexpected attacks and had less room to defend herself if it came to it. Without a car, there was also less evidence of her whereabouts if she were to ever be caught on camera or anything. Her pace was fast and confident as she began to approach her destination, an empty alley behind a boutique that had been destroyed months ago. She tried to ignore the scenes she encountered on her way, namely a car setting on fire and the cries of help from a man whose store was being robbed.
She stopped in her tracks when, not too far away from the alley, the sound of glass shattering disrupted the surroundings, as a group of people flew out of a window, clearly immerse in an intense fight. Riley stood still, letting the situation unfold and waiting for them to move or chase eachother down the street, but when another blast was heard and someone crashed on the pavement, next to her boots, she rolled her eyes, glancing down at them with a quirked eyebrow. “You’re in my way” she stated coldly, clearly unimpresed by whatever was going on.
“Thank you so much for coming!” Trixie beamed, “I recommend that you check out the fortune teller, she actually seems like she might be legit.”

“Care to join me at the blackjack table? I’m feeling lucky,” Mason joked, rubbing his hands together with his best Clint Eastwood impression.

Darius looked around with the biggest grin on his face. “Well, shit Mason. You’re just the best aren’t you?” He murmured to himself, taking a sip of his drink. he was already more than buzzed and really ‘feeling it’ when he decided to grab hold the attention of the room and yelled out, “I’M GETTING MARRIED BABYYYYYYYYYY!!!!” months ago, he’d dread something like this but as he eyed his fiance from afar, he didn’t mind this at all. “WHO WANTS TO DANCE?”
“The church is accepting donations of any kind,” Ariadna explained, handing out flyers for the upcoming clothing drive. “Old clothes, monetary donations, or just a few extra helping hands.” A lot of people brushed her off without a glance. It wasn’t unexpected - she was roughly the size of a yorkie terrier, and easy to bulldoze past. It didn’t deter her though, as she turned to the next person who walked by with a thousand watt smile. “Hi, take a flyer for the church’s clothing drive? We’re still accepting donations for the next month.”
