Short answer: Astonishment at the fact Quan-chi managed to get his hooks into her. Shortly follows by a cold fury he barely manages to contain. Given who is allies are and the fact he’s got beef with EVERYONE, he’s not going to show the full extent your death and enslavement has on him. Granted, Medusa!Reader doesn’t exactly make it easy.

Long answer below:

Fujinn groans as he blinks against the low torchlight. The first thing he notices is the feeling of cold metal wrapped around his wrists, and just a glance up confirms what he suspected to be true. He's chained to the ceiling with both his arms in the air. The demigod's chains rattle as he looks to his left and right to find Night Wolf and Shang Tsung chained by their hands with their backs against pillars decorated with skulls.

"Night Wolf! Shang Tsung!"

Fujinn's calls finally rouse the Matokka and Sorcerer from their stupor. Both men take a quick moment to observe their surroundings, which look to be made in a gothic style, with bones decorating every surface as far as they can see. Night Wolf is the first to speak.

"Where are we?"

They already had a good idea where they were, given that the last thing they recalled was attempting to sneak past the Netherealm armies, only to be captured by Lui Kang's Revenant. That and Shinnok's decapitated head directly in front of them, where its been placed on a wheel that crackled with red lightning. Just as Shang Tsung was about to answer, a familiar voice beat him to it.

"Why, you're in Lord Shinnok's Bone Temple."

They had so much going for them. Like, Sheeva's tenderness and devotion when she's talking about Sindel, how she failed her, how even in death she's still devoted to her empress! Those longing looks! The idea that Sindel would be able to find love and happiness with someone after the death of Jerrod and her atrocious marriage to Shao Kahn? So powerful! So wonderful. My friend and I were playing the game and we were ready to ship that so much!

Even though I knew about the 'Sindel is actually evil' twist it still hurt. It felt so out of character (because it is a bullshit retcon). But I hated fighting Sheeva in the Sindel chapter. It felt awful, and not in a fun way. In a way that felt like they were throwing out all the potential of that setup and looking down on you for not figuring out that out of character turn was going to happen.

Like, you're telling me Sheeva was that devoted and attentive but never once actually noticed Sindel was just the absolute worst? No! I'm not buying it! It's rubbish! I want them to be happy!

I kinda agree with that, but I always saw those scenes as more telling for Raiden and Fujin as characters and as brothers.

In Jax's moment with Raiden, Raiden uses more of a, I suppose, "logical" approach. He tells Jax things that help him understand the real situation and help him open his eyes to the lies he was told. Raiden revealing Shinnok as Cetrion's brother makes things click together, and realizations happen to bring Jax back to the light side. 

In Fujin's case however, he uses an emotional tactic to show he can relate to Jax and understands his feelings of duty and protection, even using Fujin's own family experience with Raiden as an example because he knows family is what’s most important for Jax. He uses his heart to appeal to Jax, and it brings him back.

Few things to remember

Even though they are similar, I personally see Multiverse and Alternate Timelines different from each other and are not necessarily the same thing. I find it easy to think about but hard to explain but I’ll try anyway.

Theory:

- Takeda’s classified assignment in MK11 might have involved a multiversal expedition.

- Maybe he’s from a universe where the events of MK11 or MK Aftermath are still happening while he explores the world of MK1. Making him unaware of the Kronika Situation.

- Maybe he finds out about the deep shit his universe is in through his clash dialogues with Lord Liu Kang.

- Possible Arcade Ending 1: He vanishes from time and space once the Liu Kang of his world hits the reset button.

- Possible Arcade Ending 2: He’s somehow spared from Temporal Erasure but has an implied but non-kanon descent into villainy.

- Possible Arcade Ending 3: He manages to return to his universe to find that his friends and allies were miraculously successful in their raid (unlike the actual kanon events of MK11).

All this made more sense in my head few hours ago (and had better details).
