send me ❅ for my muse to cuddle up next to yours while asleep on the couch
Kibum padded his way back into Miyoung’s living room. He opened his mouth to let her know he had finished doing the dishes –it was always his turn on Tuesdays after their movie–, but ultimately shut it closed once he noticed she was already asleep. His hazel eyes traveled to the black labrador at the foot of the couch. Kuroi raised his eyes to look at him and then let out a sigh. It made the corners of Kibum’s smile twitch.
"Long day at work hm?" he whispered once he had made his way to them, crouching down to pet the dog’s head gently. "Go to sleep to your bed, I’ll keep an eye on her before taking her to her bed. Does that sound cool?"
Kuroi yawned, making a small sound before he got up and then climbed on the small sofa next to the couch. Kibum grinned. Ever the most loyal companion, of course he would stay there. He shook his head as he took a seat beside Miyoung and after noticing the awkward position in which she was, he surrounded her shoulders with an arm and brought her towards him gently so she could support her head against his chest. She made a sound of displeasure but as if she had recognized who was holding her, maybe by the smell of his cologne, she snuggled closer to him and Kibum nuzzled her hair gently.
He had known her during one of his nights out with his model friends. They had taken him to this restaurant where you were supposed to stay in total darkness without knowing what you were eating or anything of the sort. One thing had led to another and Kibum had bumped against their waitress, which happened to be of Annaliese’s total like. He had been sent to research further into the girl’s life, and after a small talk after they had finished their dinner, he had made her laugh and they had exchanged numbers.
It had been completely unexpected how well they had hit it off after that through series of voice messages of silly things. Six months later, here they were. Spending most of their Tuesdays hidden in her lovely apartment, Kibum had found in Miyoung a friend with the most genuine smile he had ever seen. She couldn’t see him, but she didn’t need that to know when something was wrong with him. Miyoung had become one of those little sisters he wished he had had, and as they were right then, curled up against each other like a couple of pups in search of warmth, Kibum knew there was nothing he wouldn’t do to protect the dreams making her smile in her sleep.
