Watching the original Ultraman series was a great call. It's tons of fun. Plus I enjoyed connecting the dots in regards to Gammas 1&2 from DBS Super Hero. The red & blue, the way Gamma 1 is sorta Captain Muramatsu coded & Gamma 2 is sorta Ide coded, though there's definitely little bits of Hayata in both, to varying degrees. The yellow outfits with black boots & those grey circle thingies on the cuffs & such. The yellow eyes. Lack of noses. The blasters. I've gained a new appreciation for them & their designs. Can't wait to dive deeper down this Ultra Rabbit hole. I recommend giving the 1966 series a watch. Not very long. It had a VERY strong first episode.

I got way behind with tokucember so I’m going to try and catch up a little
5. Fav suit, Ultraman Blazar. I really like the asymmetrical design and how the red and blue looks like nerves or blood vessels or something, though it it a pain to draw. There is a lot of toku suits that I really like (and some I don’t) and Blazar is one of the ones I like to look at
6. Favorite human, Ide from the original Ultraman. He’s a comic relief character and it is funny when he is on screen but in some of the later episodes he actually can be the voice of reason. This is most clear in the episode “earth is my home”
7. Fav mascot, Hanejiro!! He is so so cute and sweet and he says pamu pamu and it’s so cute. He looks so soft and I love him very much.
8. First Toku series, power rangers. I don’t know if it really counts but this is what I grew up watching and part of the reason why I think I like Ultraman and Kamen rider so much now. I picked Dino thunder for the photo because I don’t remember which one I first watched but I do remember that I really liked this one.
