Surprise 1.
When their relationship became physical, Macavity was really surprised, that Mistoffelees is so solid. Observing him earlier he always imagined, that this cat with his slim waists, neck and wrists has to be fragile.
He also knew that the constant practicing of ballet gives starch and strength, but he definitely wasn't prepared to those massive muscles under the short, velvet-like fur. Mistoffelees has incredibly toned abs, legs (and butt), he is also very flexible. Honestly his flexibility made Macavity genuinely surprised in some kind of situations.
