W H A T would you M I S S? If someone were to take away everything you had today, what would you miss the most? In contemplating (and working on!) some big changes in my life (ie: career/profession transition, expat life, etc), to give myself another perspective, if “this” (situation, job, person, house, “stuff”, etc) was TAKEN away from me NOT BY CHOICE, what would I miss? What would I regret not embracing or even complain about (from time to time 😏🤷🏼‍♀️)? 1. It’s one way I easily work “gratitude” into my day. Imagining *said thing* gone in the snap of my fingers, forces me to focus on the value of (having) it NOW. 2. It’s also a way I remind myself what things I’m doing are by CHOICE, by autopilot, or because I AM genuinely stuck (*hint*hint —> often NOT the case, even when it feels like it is...) So often, it’s the simple things... The view outside my window 🌴 Dog walks in the sunshine. Morning cuddles getting kicked in the face. Being able to pay my bills. 🙏 So ask yourself this question, if it all were taken away from you, all of it, right now *snap*, what would YOU miss? It forces me to be present, and enjoy all that is, as it is, right NOW.
