After Addison, Arthur and John didn't go to New York - they just went home, and set up shop in as PIs in Arkham. Now several months later, having completed work for a wealthy client, they find themselves invited to a fancy dinner party with New England's elite occultists. But among the rich and famous diners are two unexpected guests: "Andrew" Larson, Arthur's one time nemesis, and Peter Yang, back from the dead but not quite right. After an awkward dinner, and an introduction to a mysterious supernatural artifact, a corpse is discovered. It's up to Arthur and John to solve the murder and stop the artifact before it unleashes its eldritch magic on them all.
Or is it? Maybe instead, Arthur and Peter fool around in the back room and they miss the drama. Maybe Arthur and John can stop the murder entirely. In this Choose Your Own Adventure there are multiple endings and more than one way to make it to midnight.

For Helen Richardson being trapped in the corridors was the most traumatic experience of her life. For Martin and Tim it was the most glossed over of the things that happened to them. Barely worth mentioning in the grand scheme of things.
Interesting how it was glossed over so easily... I wonder if it influenced how they acted later on in season 3

I was so proud of him breaking into the Gertrude's flat. Jon's going in the right direction this time and learning so much. Everybody treats it like his peak unhinged moment but it was actually a correct course of action and I'll die on this hill.

While we're stuck like the other archive staff on the notion that this is still a sane workplace and act/think accordingly, Jon has gone a bunch of steps ahead and is doing the work to show for it.

Jon sounds a lot like in S5 when he sees the Angler Fish and the choir. In awe of horrors.
He’s really Beholding there, it does seem a bit like he’s starting to find the horrifying beautiful.
Now I realise that the extended sounds of brutal pipe murder are not as brutal as my memory made them out to be. I must have been in shock from Elias taking a direct action.
