What people think I mean when I say misandry is a real concept: Men are an oppressed class that is on par with women. Women are actually oppressors of men too. These groups have it equally bad and have always had it equally bad. If a woman is complaining about sexism, she needs to remember men can have it bad too.
What I actually mean: The patriarchy and systematic bigotry affects all people, not just women and people socialized as women. Regular men are negatively impacted too because the patriarchy isn't good for anyone. In fact, women also can help perpetuate the patriarchy. That's the entire reason it's been able to stay standing as long as it has, many men and women both support it.
