here some thoughts about the first episodes of daredevil, forgive me cos it's gonna me a mess and i'm gonna jump from one thing to another
first of all, i liked watching it again at the beginning it was fantastic like they were never gone and then they go and kill foggy. It felt rushed (and wrong) like they couldn't wait to get him and karen out of the picture to continue with the rest.
Damn did i cry watching it? hell yeah but also got the feeling like it wasn't real it was too soon for that to be happening, they didn't give us enough time with the trio together
I spend the rest of the episodes constantly asking my bf 'he's really gone? like they kill him for real? nooo' and waiting for foggy to appear out of nowhere. THEN they make Karen move to other side of the country and it was weird watching the eps. without any of these two important characters
Kristen was/is great. I like her personality and what brings to the show and to matt's life.
Fisk was also so good, like you can feel the danger coming out of him, ready to explode.
bUT CHERRY, oh cherry you just don't go to my boy matt and tell him you like him better like that, that you know him and he's better off with the lawyer suit. NOPE YOU DONT KNOW HIM AT ALL IF YOU CAN'T SEE HE'S A WALKING MESS OF A BOMB.
About Heather i have nothing to say, like i didn't hate her but i didn't like her either, she gave me a meh vibe. I'm curious about her plot with Fisk&Vanessa but that's it. I didn't feel any chemistry with Matt
We knew this was gonna be kind of a mess with them having to redo most of everything and it kinda shows? let's see the rest of it and the finale just know how they tie everything
Another thing, i'm not expert in the comics but i know Karen moves to another city under other circumstances just i kinda see the parallel there and i'm curious about her return to NYC and her dynamic with matt and everyone. Also want to believe Foggy's death it's gonna be like in the comics where they fake his death....

She might not be a believer but could have shown a little more understanding and empathy as to why is important to Matt? her saying that being a therapist was something

Apart from that, I'm so pumped for matt to be back as Daredevil, boooooy it was time i screamed at the "fuck it" part and at him leaving the broken horn Karen gave him with Foggy's memorial card. Also him talking in an irish accent dAMN YOU MATTHEW MURDOCK, and kicking ass and breaking bones hell yesss🥵
I understand why some ppl would view ep5. as a filler for me it was the event that made him reconnect to his daredevil side you know, reminding him why he's doing it and what he's capable of.
Part of me is really excited and like 'fuck yeah today i get my avocados and queen back' bUT AT WHAT COST what if they mess it up, what if they change something, wHat if it's different and i keep missing the old show aaaghhh
give me the show already so i can't shut up my anxious mind and cry about dd
